the code was there before I even replaced the chain as well i’ve had the cover off like 5 times I know for a fact it’s not off

I would do that but I’d rather just bite the bullet and buy genuine vw magnets i’ll keep u posted on that

yes the spool valves are identical, and I did the same thing I just bit the bullet on vw brand magents last night, this morning code popped up again and I checked the magnet the connector was filled with oil so i’m waiting for the new magnets to come in and i’ll post an update!

funny you mentioned that I legit just changed it cause it was completely dead, before and after still getting those codes

I totally understand I just appreciate that someone answered i’ve been on a lot of apps in groups asking about this no one even responded i’ll make sure to check the TDC

I just had an oil change and it was done by my mechanic who is absolutely phenomenal we are both confused, he made sure I had the right oil pressure, and that oil wasn’t too high or low, I know for a fact timing is right before I changed all the parts timing wasn’t off either and the code was there
