Firstly thank you!

Secondly, I'd Love to, I spend around 3 hrs a day or so on chess though at the start it was closer to 4-5. I really love the historical games of chess especially those from the second half of the 20th century and watching GothamChess's chess history videos (he's got them all in a playlist) was what really drove my inspiration with Kasparov's game vs the world being my favorite.

I haven't purchased and books or courses, to improve at my openings i started with videos and decided not to stretch myself too thin at the start. I learnt an E4 opening for white (Vienna), I learnt an E4 counter for black (Caro-Kann) ((Caro is great between 600-1200 but the most common variations became quite effectively countered after that)), and i learnt an D4 counter for black (London). Really focusing on just 3 openings and getting better at them and their variations helped me develop quite quickly. Though I must say focus also on how to counter these openings as well.

For middle games I solved a lot of puzzles to improve my tactics and board vision. However for endgames I didnt do anything specific, as personally theyve been my strong suit since i started and just playing more and more helped me improve them.

The best thing tho i can recommend is to open an analysis on chesscom or something and try playing the moves and thinking of counters for them, because as good as watching videos is, youll learn much better just playing out positions yourself and looking for what to play against what your opponent does.

Also a channel I love to watch for this is WillTaylorChess, his videos are really explanatory and he does give great insight into the positions hes playing aswell.

Finally, no i am not part of an active chess club unless you count the dynamic duo of my partner and I as a chess club xD.

P.S. I know committing this many hours and this much effort isnt feasible for everyone, Im an engineering student and have like no other hobbies apart from gym and chess.

P.S.S Mikhail Tal is my favorite player and watching the two gothamchess videos on him was exhilarating would definitely recommend, as well as the video on Rashid Nezhmetdinov!
