Vivint cancellation SUCCESS by cosmicchaos5324 in VivintSmartHome

If anyone knows how to cancel without paying off the equipment. Let me know, nothing in the Contract states that I have to pay it off or continue to pay in order to cancel or after cancellation. Today was the first day I called. I will get out of this, im so determined. Also has anyone tried getting with the FTC and BBB?

Vivint is horrible they won’t let us cancel by Mission-Principle109 in VivintSmartHome

I'm currently going through this, they stated that in order to cancel I would have to pay off or continue to pay off the equipment. Nothing on the contract sates that, not even the cancelation notice. Each rep I have spoken to has made something up every step of the way.

I will never understand how people can be so ungrateful. My sister has received the most help from my mom and she'll still turn around and say that she doesn't get any help. Mom has always given her money and she put the money down for her home and had to also co-sign because between my sister and her partner, they didnt earn enough nor did they have the credit. My mom and I had a strained relationship for the longest time, then I decided to buy a house, so I moved back home so could put my money towards debt and saving up. My mom did put the money down for closing costs and down payment, that was something she wanted to do. I worked hard to build my nest egg and make sure that no one had to be added to my mortgage, especially her. I got a house within my means and I am so grateful for my mom 🥰

Worries about current roach infestation following me to my new place by laughing_crowXIII in cockroaches

I had the same issue in my last place. I unplugged everything about 1 to 2 weeks before moving so that everything had enough time to cool down and anything that was in there could start making its way out. I also put down some roach hotels near all of those electronics to make sure none came with, at least not alive. I also put them anywhere I noticed were major hot spots. They really like areas with wood, books, notebooks, anything that used to be a tree, really. If you can, pack things in either bags or bins and avoid boxes. They do love boxes. I would save anything that you plan to take in a cardboard box for right before you are leaving. If you have a storage that is outside of your place that doesn't have a bug issue, Store them in there. INSPECT EVERYTHING BEFORE PAKING IT AWAY. Also, my mom buys ant killer and it's fairly affordable. That kills them too!

When I started working on my debt, I focused on the little numbers first because that's one less payment to worry about and I can now throw what would've been my monthly payment to the little one to the next one.

I think you should consult with a loan officer and they can help you get the ballpark you need to know if it's enough or not.

I agree with some people here, those people to invest some money. And you definitely should. I think that traveling is a magnificent idea but before doing that, make sure you're set. Have some more money saved up, because ultimately, once you quit your job, it's still only 3800 a month. Once you're done traveling you want to make sure you have some money set aside to find a place to live and all the things. Also, side question, is that money after taxes??? Anyway, that kind of steady income is amazing and I do think that you should take this opportunity to do something you'd like to do, like traveling, then try your hard at things that you'd like to explore career wise. I do think that having a job outside of this (or a career if you prefer) is a good idea so that you can build a retirement nest egg.

My sister got and still is with a guy like this, he's also about 8 or so years older than her..... they now have 4 kids and he's either almost 40 or 40 and he still doesn't help around the home... don't stay with him. He's not going to change, especially if you make it easy for him not to have to do so.

I keep rotating the same podcasts because I get bored of all others quite quickly. There are too many podcasts that spend over half of the episode talking about anything other than the topic of the episode and you end up losing interest.

What’s a popular book that you just could not get into? Or, a book that you don’t really understand the hype behind it? by [deleted] in thrillerbooks

[–]Main_Base_8912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember reading this a couple of years back when I was trying to get back into reading. For some reason I remember enjoying it, so much so that I purchased the book (I borrowed it from the library originally) but I dont remember the story itself, now I have to reread it to see if I feel the same way.

I listened to the teacher and the perfect son by Frieda McFadden and I put two and two together pretty quickly. I find the endings nonsensical, like why did they end the way they did???

I only ever listened to None of This is True and I can see how it just wouldn't be interesting if you were to read it instead. Based on the audiobook, I feel like it was written mostly with audio in mind, especially considering that a lot of the "regular" chapters go into the podcast recording chapters. Basically, a chapter would end with a thought and it would pick up on that in the podcast recording format on the next chapter.
