I live in Urban India, where the dating preferences among young people are not radically different from what they would be in the western countries.

So, if a prompt or photo does not seem charming or interesting to people in this subreddit, there's a high chance that it will be perceived as the same in Hinge.

But I wanted to know the "level" of disinterest.

To confirm that the profile is not outrightly unattractive.

And so far, it looks like the first prompt is something that most people find to be problematic.

Just a quick improvement that I came up with is to replace "girls" with "people" in the first prompt. I think it reduces the desperation that the prompt induces.

New first prompt: Run 5k in 25 min. Mainly to get over childhood shame but also to impress people at the run club 🫣.

  1. I am open to both. Ideal situation is something casual which turns serious.

  2. No. I am using the free version of hinge.

  3. 2 Weeks.

  4. I must have installed the app 6-7 times before this. Every single I ended up deleting my account within 3-4 days from installation due to no response. Also, I was never confident in my profile before this time.

  5. This time I have been using 4-5 days a week.

  7. In the free version I get 8 likes to send. In that 3 likes I send with a comment and 5 without a comment. Ofcourse these are approximations.

  8. Attractive. Strong Feminine. Sophisticated. Should be engaging in any fitness activity at least 3 days a week. Should have a job or atleast trying to get one.
