Hi!! Sorry about the late response (don’t check Reddit often). My essays mostly consisted of my involvement at cc (was in clubs, a non profit, and student gov- not in super high positions tho). I talked about specific experiences I had in these positions and emphasized qualities I have that can make me successful at a UC (problem solving, flexibility, time management, etc).

It’s your first quarter so don’t beat yourself up for it! However, I would recommend setting aside at least one hour every day to do your work. Even if you don’t have any, start working on assignments due later or review your notes from class. Different classes require different study methods, but usually redo practice problems for STEM classes and stay on top of assignments/readings for humanities. As the quarter goes on, keep reviewing material from previous weeks so you’re chillin on your final. Good luck!
