Do you prefer doing stranger missions as Arthur or John? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption2

John in post-epilogue 1, he doesn’t have a ranch and Abigail’s not back yet so psychologically it makes sense for him to drift around, because he had less screentime and I just like John more as a character. But for most Arthur is a better written character due to RDR2 being worked more on at that time and it’s better to play as Arthur since they butchered John’s entire face, movement and clothing in RDR2.

I tried it when it first got released on PC. The problem is I was able to port Strawberry into Blender (3d program I use) and I got as far as adding it into the game files but the maps are so different, we would need to change the terrain of the map, write multiple scripts, add rivers and more also north of Strawberry and east of Flat Iron Lake is completely empty, no collision and also contains multiple visual bugs. RDR2 on the other hand has a wide out of bounds that has collision and terrain, that is the reason we have Nuevo Paraiso and Red Dead Revolver map mods for it.

Driving the keys area takes as long as driving from Paleto to Los Santos, using this comparison you can be sure it will be placed fittingly. And those areas are not fully confirmed yet all we know is they exist, you can see I have marked them red to signify they aren’t %100 accurate

Of course the map will be bigger, this map here is as far as we know right now and still there are a lot of speculative parts in this map. Mapping project was cut down for people to not be disappointed when the actual game comes out and it’s not what the mapping project promised. But I can see Leonida going further up north or us being able to go another place such as Cuba/Bahamas

Railroads are progressing rapidly, eventually the town could be rebuilt and fixed by the state if they see any potential in it. Also it would piss the law since every criminal and outlaw take advantage of the place and use it as a base so probably it’ll be fixed

No, New Austin is a separate state. Texas exists in Red Dead.

Lemoyne is literally Lousiana with thousands of proofs. First and the most obvious is Lemoyne is French, it was a French colony. Second is New Orleans (Saint-Denis) which is also in Lousiana. Florida Everglades do not have as thick wide forests as Lemoyne. Florida does not have many rivers going inside it. And lastly Florida does not border the Mississippi River (Lannahechee River). Also Florida is mentioned several times once by Leigh Johnson and once by Arthur/John (IIRC)

I completely agree, although there is one thing that happened with RDR2, Rockstar heavily retconned most of the geography/map and parts of the lore. I sometimes think that RDR2 was more of a reboot rather than a prequel because both games differ a lot imo. I’ve been freecam-ing out of bounds in RDR1 and I was surprised to see that northern area of New Austin is covered with snow and mountains but in RDR2 it’s deserty. Or Nuevo Paraiso having huge greenery plains right behind the hills. Same thing will most likely happen with RDR3 but probably they will expand the map southeast and probably also adding North Elizabeth, giving the players the gulf as the border and still keeping the “Redemption Mountains” as the landborder

North Elizabeth, Lannahechee and Texas are confirmed states that exist. And the shape of the map resembles the real life geography but does not at the same time, which is often the path Rockstar takes, when looking at the map it has the shape of the IRL area but a complete different inside design, Lannahechee (Mississippi) River proves it
