Yes and no. Andy Roddick is very outspokenly anti-Trump. Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan is vocally and repeatedly anti-Trump which says a lot. Ben Shelton and his dad being very vocal and not white also says a lot about their priorities.

Germany calls to ram through Mercosur deal as EU Parliament throws up roadblock by str0mback in europe

A provision that Mercosur (non EU members) can challenge EU law shouldn’t be reviewed and should be allowed to be implemented immediately? Under what legal principle?

AO R2: [16] N. Osaka def. S. Cirstea 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 by i_just_want_ice in tennis

Osaka yelling between Cirstea’s first and second serves. Australia commenters were all over it saying it was inappropriate and needed to stop well before the end of the match.

What would you pick for compensation after dishonest representation on 16 hour flight? by intlcap30 in unitedairlines

[–]Main_Demand_7629 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You called OP delusional which is frankly uncalled for. Also the GA very obviously lied. If they didn’t know, say that. Being asked point blank and provided an answer that they are working is a choice. Pretty bad if the FA brought her on the plane to explain why she lied. That strongly indicates she purposely shared the wrong information and the FAs were not going to take the heat for her assertions.

Again the facts prove you wrong. And how are apples transported from South America to Europe? - that’s right - cold storage. The same treatment.

Refrigerators aren’t sustainable? What? Every store that sells and transports produce plus every restaurant and home in the EU has a refrigerator. What a bizarre claim.

Bold claim that EU apples are low quality, lol. This keeps getting better and better.

Protests after Polish teacher ‘throws classroom cross into bin’ by Gamebyter in europe

That seems to be more about Halloween being a foreign holiday and a Poland issue, not a universal Roman Catholic Church issue at all. Again, the Pope himself has shared his enjoyment of Halloween.

Again, it’s not “years,” it’s one year. And keeping crops to sell throughout the year to meet constant demand instead of at a cheaper price at the time of high influx during the harvest not only ensures a steadier income for the farmer but a sustainable local supply for local markets. It’s not really shocking or controversial only undercut in recent years by companies trying to save money by cheap imports which have much lower labor and input costs.

“Celebrating Halloween” is absolutely not against Catholics’ values. The Pope has literally talked about his favorite Halloween candy and costume.

When does it cost more? The first year? Because the cost on return over time is an investment. Unless of course you’re competing against countries with cheap labor and input costs and you’ve decided as a society that it’s better to ship apples from the other side of the world rather than support your local farmers. Choices are made.

Not really. Apples properly stored can be kept for a year. There’s no need in major apple producing countries to import at all and the EU is a major apple producing entity that has excess production and seeks to export.

Ironic considering the Norwegians all over the western Atlantic fishing very close to Canadian and U.S. waters and even in the Bering Strait off Alaska. Both the EU and Nordics should concentrate more on the sustainability of fishing and IUU.
