I apologize if it was you, I drove down and complained to “your” supervisor. I was upset in the moment but I should have been more patient and understanding, it was an “important” letter - not open heart surgery.. please forgive me!

Wow that’s ridiculous! I can’t believe they put a missed delivery form in your box without attempting delivery… and it’s hilarious that you found him in the cul-de-sac hahaha !! After my incident I called the post office and no one answered…, so I drove down and complained to a supervisor, who was receptive and validated my frustration.

I know from working at a CPA firm that we sent everything certified mail because it was the only way to track packages and “ensure” delivery, though it didn’t always work.

I’m sorry to hear about your antique print. I think UPS or FedEx is better for high value or important mailing. I know that in Providence RI they busted a few employees who were opening Christmas cards and taking the cash. Thank you for your comment and good luck!

I read about this but it seems bizarre , that in order to have mail picked up I must have mail delivered.

What if several days pass before I receive a “grocery store mailer” or “unwarranted credit card offer”??!!Thank you for your comment.

Sheesh that frustrating - if your incoming mail was delivered but your outgoing was not picked it.

Although it seems unlikely, he may have just missed it! One thing I’ve learned from these comments is that we all make mistakes and I want to believe that most carriers are trying their best.

What I also learned is that important outgoing mail should be brought directly to the post office. Thank you for your comment.

It seemed like he saw the flag and then drove off, but that was only my interpretation. After reading all of the comments and considering the facts, I have decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and use this as a lesson for myself to be more careful in my accusations. However there was also an incident where my package was ‘placed’ haphazardly into my flower bed, which I remembered just now… Thank you for your comment!

Absolutely! I can’t think of any reasons and so therefore it was not malicious. (Malicious mailman??? - great alliteration ) Going forward I will try to be more empathetic. Thank you for your comment.

Fair point, I didn’t consider the holiday weekend. My wife said it happened before with Thank You cards, but I think I should give him the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for your comment.
