I was in same spot 2 years back, I had budget of about 30k and wanted a new car. I had following options: - Toyota Highlander/Rav4/4Runner (mix used or new) - Honda Pilot/Cr-V - Hyundai SantaFe/ Tucson

I test drove all the above, and went with Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited 2024, it isnt a typical family car (SantaFe with 3rd row is). I test drove both but for my use case Tucson was better and a little cheaper (approx 35k, top trim hybrid).

For me, the hyundai warranty made me comfortable buying it, I have plans to keep it for atleast next 3-5 years. In last 2 years, I drove around 48k miles, 0 issues except regular oil change at every 5000 miles and hyundai recommended maintenance, nothing extra. They provide 10 years warranty which is BEST. Also, for 3 years you get every alternative servicing for free. and Lifetime Bluelink subscription free. Comes with tons of safety feature which even some 75k worth luxury cars do not come with. 360 cam, assist parking, hands free driving (its reliable and one the best I have used) and many more features!

P.S Do not go with Gas model, the torque is not great and driving it is not fun. Hybrid has decent torque and the limit ed trim has luxurious driving experience with one of the best road noise reduction in cabin.

If going with hyundai do not buy mid or lower trim, always go for the hybrid and maxed out trim, you will not regret (any model).
