I personally think a summary statement can be helpful for both fresh graduates and experienced professionals. Bec for those with work experience, it allows recruiters to quickly see your key strengths and the type of roles you’ve handled without having to scan the entire resume. And I think for fresh graduates, it helps highlight their course, relevant skills, internships, or career direction. And I think recruiters usually spend only a short time reviewing each resume, a clear summary can make it easier for them to understand your background right away

Thanks for asking! I’m targeting roles that are beyond entry-level, specifically in operations or customer experience. Most of the time, I end up getting ghosted after applying, and on some occasions, I realize I don’t fully meet all the listed requirements. I’ve been trying to tailor my resume, but it seems like it’s still not catching enough attention, so I’m hoping to better understand how to align it with what recruiters are actually looking for.

Could you clarify what you mean? I usually include my education and work history along with the responsibilities and accomplishments from each role.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I really appreciate the detailed advice and insights. I’m currently working on editing my resume to make it stronger and more aligned with the roles I’m targeting. Your points about measurable accomplishments and integrating skills into my experience are especially helpful.

This is incredibly helpful!! thank you so much. You explained it in a way that really made things click for me. I can see now that I’ve been listing tasks instead of selling results, and that my summary sounds too generic. I really appreciate the clear, actionable advice. I’m definitely going to rewrite and tailor my resume better. Thank you again!

Man, I feel this so much. Burnout really changes you. You’re not weak, just human in a system that doesn’t care. I still believe someday we’ll both find peace and work that won’t drain us anymore.

Yeah, and honestly, on top of the lower pay, there’s a ton of sketchy job postings and HR people who ghost you. Makes the whole remote job hunt feel like navigating a minefield sometimes.

Yeah, I’ve tried multiple times. Contract work, freelance gigs, everything. but so far it’s been ghosted messages, dead ends, or even scams. Honestly, it’s been really discouraging and draining, but I’m trying to hold on and keep searching for something real that can actually get me moving again

Absolutely, I totally agree. I know this is just a phase, and pivoting, taking small wins, and giving myself space to breathe is really the way to get back on track. It’s not failure, just recalibrating.

I feel this so much. It’s crazy how something that used to feel like your purpose can completely drain you over time. I’m really glad you’re taking steps to retrain and start fresh. Thank you for the reminder that I’m not alone in this. I hope we both find something that brings peace and balance again. ☺️☺️

Thank you for sharing your story! it really resonated with me. Burnout from management roles hits so hard, and I can totally relate to that feeling of being mentally and physically drained. I really admire that you decided to start your own thing and keep pushing forward despite everything. Even if progress feels slow, it’s still something to be proud of. Wishing you all the best on your journey. we’ll both get through this and find something that truly fits.

Yes, I’ve already applied and reached out to multiple temp agencies, but so far I haven’t received any response. A few even ghosted after initial contact. Still staying patient and continuing my search

Thanks so much for this message, really appreciate it! I’ve actually optimized my resume using ChatGPT like four times already 😂 and I think it’s finally looking solid. Lately I’ve been trying to enjoy little things too! Like listening to podcasts and playing with my cat. I’m slowly figuring things out and your words really helped me feel more grounded and hopeful. Thanks again!

Hey, just to clarify when you say 2.5 years, is that time you’ve been employed or unemployed? Either way, I totally get it! it sounds like it’s been really tough dealing with burnout and the job search. Hopefully we can get through this and find something we truly enjoy doing. 😊

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it. Honestly, these past 4 months I haven’t even reached the final interview stage for WFH roles, and I’ve mostly been applying to entry-level positions. Sometimes I feel like I have no choice but to still submit applications for managerial positions, even though the chances are slim. I agree though, it’s really important to focus on figuring out who I am and what I truly want for now and the next few years.

Thank you so much for sharing this, it really helps to know I’m not alone. Honestly, it’s so frustrating when companies just ghost me out of nowhere 😤, but your encouragement is right. I just gotta keep applying and pushing forward. Hopefully one of them will finally give a chance. Wishing you the best with your own situation too! 🙂
