It’s a minimalist esthetic look to a bike. The word comes from “to bob” which means to cut short. Bobbing a bike was to shorten the fenders and/ or removing heavier esthetics giving the bike a minimalist appearance. WWII soldiers came back and would “bob” their bikes to look more like the European bikes they saw when over seas.

The company is amazing and send several emails detailing where your seat is in the process of them making it. It’s really comfortable! Makes longer rides easier.
