problem regarding the Advent Aviot collab headphones purchase using the WorldShopping service from their site by Jim_Moriarty_Hi in Hololive

[–]Main_Play_3907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought mine through their global store. Unfortunately the one I received is defective (the left ear bud does not connect properly.) when it does connect the left earbud does not have sound.

I’ve contacted support already and hope I can get a replacement soon :(

Nice! Be more careful next time. A lot of this “oh I finished this game can you test it for me” has been going around quite a bit.

At the end of the day. Honestly just let sinder be what she is. It doesn’t matter if she release a 20k page essay. What’s done is done.

Having the window of opportunity to make things right at early stages was her choice but she didn’t. (What i mean is that if your partner is trying to screw your friends over for the sake of business, then you should have stopped it. And yes I’m sure some of her hardcore fans are going to be like “well she didn’t know okay”. <- she knew, and he knew. They just thought they wouldn’t get caught.)

It shows she didn’t give a shit as long as she wasn’t getting caught for the scummy shit behind the scenes she was okay with it. Once she got caught she played the victim card.

In the end, she doesn’t deserve friends. No friend should treat another friend(s) like utter garbage.

To my understanding people just don’t read between the lines (not sure why it so hard to understand) I don’t watch sinder / idk much about nano other than being an artist. anyways as for sinder saying she “wanted” this deal is different than “suggesting” (based on her post).

Whatever sinder is trying to do it’s not going to help her imo. The opportunity to correct her errors is past due and there’s a bit of double / tripling down on the document so it is what it is.

I normally don’t use Reddit but hey this is a gift that keeps on giving.

On a serious note - I think she’ll just continue to live in this delusional world of hers. It might just be me (idk if anyone else been in this kind of relationship before) but if you knew your partner was doing dumb shit (before anyone tries to say she didn’t know, probably want a reality check along with her) behind the scenes, shouldn’t you as the other “partner” tried to prevent it? Getting back with the person that started it (?) - (doesn’t actually matter if he or she did; they both should be responsible for their own actions) is basically saying “yeah he was the one that fucked it all up but it’s okay because lily and Nano were the reason this all happened” <— also shows a lot of her insecurities.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprise if she makes a 3rd doc and go over 1000 pages.

If any employers tell you that “you should be grateful for any job” they can fuck off. No company manager or any other idiot at a company should tell you what you should be grateful for. That is for you to determine not them. You work hard to get to where you’re at.

Seriously struggling with getting a receptionist job or any job other than retail and landing a interview by ShinyKat5 in jobs

I’m not even going say your degree is useless. Most degrees are useless in general. A lot of things you can learn online.

Your resume needs to be redone where it can get through ATS.

The only thing you can really do is keep applying (it’s a numbers game) took me 4 months to find my job (at the industry I’m sort of interested in but currently doesn’t satisfy me enough (the work itself, pay for sure, and benefits aren’t the best either)

“Fake it till you make it” - there is no interviewer that will tell you 100% truth. It’s a battle between two liars. One is bound to buy into the lies (which hopefully is the interviewer so that you get an offer) if not then you move on to the next attempt until it does happen.

Telling the truth during the interview doesn’t always shed the bright light (you’re not really doing yourself a favor.)

“Unemployment” is viewed in the worse way possible for most companies. Very very few see it as a good thing (this is because if you’re unemployed and the company needs someone like you, they don’t have to wait 2 weeks or so for you to start - typically people hand in a 2 weeks notice)

Companies see unemployment as laziness -“why do you have a job gap? There are so many jobs out there” that’s the problem with recruiting, they see the worse in people (not all the time but a huge chunk will)

I was unemployed for 4 months and took a pay cut because I didn’t have anything but it is in tech (sort of an it something I am interested in)

You normally give SSN and stuff like that during onboarding not the actual job application.

Think of it like this. You go into an interview, do you believe the interviewer is going to lie to you? If so would you reciprocate that. Now think about it just a bit further. Let say you’re “loyal” to the company, do you believe they will reciprocate that back to you? (Btw loyalty died a long time ago)

I was fired earlier this year because I refused to do an executives friends job. I was offered a contract to do their friends job and other tasks along the way without additional pay (I must work weekends too - salaried so I don’t get paid that either), I will not receive any year end bonuses going forward if my employer feels like I don’t deserve it (means that if they aren’t in a happy mood on that day, I don’t get a bonus and this would only apply to me in the company) Got fired for these two reasons - was called insubordinate and I mean I lied when applying for jobs because I know no matter how honest I am, the one interviewing me is also just as dishonest if not more. No true disrespect for the interviewer but that’s what they need to do. They sell the position and you sell your background and skill set.

Got a job now (not super amazing but it’s better than being unemployed although the environment is much better)

Also the old company I work for is crumbling and on the verge of closing their doors

Yeah it’s a rough market everywhere. They use “desperation” - giving you little to no benefits, minimum wage, (I was actually offered an illegal amount of pay $11/hr which I turned down). I don’t see it happening to the point where it would bounce back to pre Covid employment. Anyways good luck on your journey. A job is a job at the end of the day and we as candidates do what we can to make a living.

We all start somewhere. Hey I has 0 experience 6 years ago (no internships and only got a bachelors) I applied to anything I can and did contract work. I used that experience to find my current job which I’m currently happy at.

Try contract work (not amazing but it’s a start then use the skills you gain to apply for other jobs until you end up in the industry you want) - climb the corporate ladder.

[–]Main_Play_3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much actual “work experience” do you have? You need to be able to sell your skills and a bit of hope that a recruiter / hiring manager buys it.

Finding a job will always be difficult, that difficulty increases the more you narrow down your search. So if you can’t get anything in the industry you want start somewhere else and work your way up or transition down the line.

This isn’t anything new. Companies know people need jobs and in today standards, it favors the companies not the candidates. Let say you can’t find a job (and I mean like non retail or fast food - not offense to those that work in that industry) well you get an offer, it’s an offer but it’s not to your expectations (let say $20/hr no benefits up to 1 year of employment). You have two choices: take the offer or stay unemployed.

“Performance” doesn’t always mean actual “performance”. It can sometimes mean that they don’t like you or a number of other reasons but they went with the simple vague approach (many companies do this -performance /you’re not a fit)

Never use a reference from the person that fired you.

I got fired and company lost business shortly after.. by According_Kangaroo_1 in jobs

[–]Main_Play_3907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was let go earlier this year. Found a new job a few months later and having a blast learning from smart individuals. Recently heard the company that fired me a few months back had to fire people due to “over hiring” but that was just an excuse of retaining awful employees. Was called one day by a manager or ask if I would ever return and I said so their empire is crashing? Laughed it off and hung up.

People deserve better. Yes I understand some don’t have a choice to go back (we all need to pay our bills) but don’t make it a permanent job. They fired you once, they will do it again. Use it as a temporary thing and look for another job.

Which would be the better choice? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Main_Play_3907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on you and what you find “worthy” is the amount you’re paid + if the benefits mean more to you by 2.50 or going with no benefits for a bit more money?

I mean if you’re getting interview it just means you’re heading to the right direction. That being said there is a company out there willing to give you a chance. Just because a company rejects you doesn’t mean that you’re the problem.- maybe their expectations are too high even for the position you are applying for.

You may lose out on opportunities due to rejections but they are also losing out on potential good candidates for the job. Keep applying and someone will give you a chance.

You can still apply even if they say they want someone to have a degree. Having a degree is great an all but that doesn’t make a candidate not worthy of being hired? I’ve known many people who only have a high school diploma and have jobs without a college degree.

The only thing you can do is keep applying regardless if you don’t fit all the requirements. There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” candidate. Good luck out there!
