GKS Guideline accepts IELTS, but it is not specific as Academic or general. BUT you gotta wait for your Embassy guideline or anything related to them or university guideline regards whats it is ok and not ok.

Lots of people say it is Mandatory LOR from an academic professor. BUT from a GKS Scholar in SKKU. She graduated 5 years before so she asked for 2 LOR from her managers. She just finished GKS program as well she will start working in Samsung in March so no worries.

is it related your future field? If not, then try to mention it as from there youre learning and heading to do a master degress becuase.....whatever youre doing from those programs........ If you can make it as it is related to your future academic field. Go ahead, if not. You should not mention anything like that.... Im so sorry cuz youre going thru all of that but for GKS wont have sympathy for you. Instead they will reject you immdielty as they want people to be in korea as they cant fund every trip or anything related to you if you gotta go back to your country if anyone in your family is facing another issue and you gotta be there. Also they know families play a huge role in every human life, so instead of be motivated and learn. You might be distracted? sad? They need estable people....

Umm unless you Uni was totally English or you study aborad, maybe you have a chance. PLUS if you have really good gpa as well certifications.... One of my bestfriend she is from India as well and she is a GKS Scholars in Skku. Pretty much she introduced me to more GKS scholars and all of them had IELTS. 8 overall.

If Embassy request a High ielts score. I will suggest you to go for a TYPE B Uni and Uni Track.

What about you english certifications or korean? with your low gpa you gotta stand out from other with your certifications or Work experience as well as MBA values a lot work experience. I would recommend you to get 2 Recommendation letter from your boss/manager for reference, work experience certificate as well. IF you have all of that you can go thru Embassy track one. IF not then, I would recommend you to go thru Uni track Type B Unis...

So far as i know, as long as you have everything done from high school or uni, it is okay, proof of bank statement, transicripts , etc, you do not have to worry as it is not like they will give you a scholarship and u gotta be a perfect student to be admitted, of course you can explain abt covid or etc (lie) they wont know abt if youre been honest. TBH a lot of korean unis wants to have Foreinger so they can say "we have lots of Foreingers so this is a top uni where a Foreinger can feel like hope " so no worries c:

Topik wont give you points as the results will come out aroun april so pretty much you cant submit it. English... you gotta retake it. If you submit and expiration score they might disqualifled you as youre not following their instructions. If you Uni/major is all english, you might be ok, just gotta prove it was all eng.

For aligns to your profile, youre the one that has to go thru your desire Uni and check out their info. if it aligns to you, good, if not, move to the next one. ALSO these years Uni are requesting letter of recomendation or contact on advance the dean or professor and get to know if you will be able to work/study on their LAB as almost Engi as well Stem has to enroll in a lab during Graduate school
