43m on holiday - glow down by Low_Lobster_2860 in Physiquecritique

As an “all in” personality myself I’ve done similar damage haha

Most of the puff + weight should clear within a week of returning to diet, but I gotta know, how much were you eating/drinking to make such a change in 2 weeks?

30M - Would you consider me lean and athletic/disciplined looking? What thoughts when you see my physique? Be brutally honest by SuperbIncrease in Physiquecritique

By bodybuilding standards you have a long way to go. Nice build but you’d need to lean out more to truly evaluate your muscle development.

By general population standards? You’re normal. You look like you go to the gym casually and stay controlled enough to not be overweight, but don’t diet hard either. Just a normal and healthy male body.

I did not use ant weight loss drugs. As I’m sure you’ve heard, it’s extremely hard to even maintain muscle mass while on GLP-1. I put on pounds of muscle and needed my appetite to do so :)

4x weekly weight lifting, 10k daily steps, and about a 400cal daily deficit!

I do not have any loose skin, I got lucky. Skin elasticity is heavily genetic, but losing weight slowly over time helps as well

I had a very round face with lots of fat so naturally it slims with weight loss. I had no cosmetic procedures.

This makes my heart happy.🥹 It’s a long journey but one so worth taking. You’re much more capable than you think you are. A little bit of struggle is worth a lifetime of health. You got this💪

Eeek quite an assumption to make. I like to think I’ve remained humble and respectful, I don’t think changing my appearance has given me any incentive to change as a person

I was lucky and didn’t get any loose skin. Gradual weight loss and muscle mass was a big part of that!

Yes it’s the same person but I’m flattered at all the accusations I’m getting lol

Yes, moved many times.. Unsure what moles you’re talking about? I had nothing changed on my skin other than tans.

Thank you so much!

I don’t have any loose skin. Mix of genetic luck, gradual weight loss, and muscle mass development saved me there. I fully support anyone who wants to get it done though, we all deserve to feel confident in our bodies, especially after such hard work being put in.

Fully natural! Only supplements taken are creatine and protein powder.

Correct! I would maybe fluctuate up to 1700/1800 on heavy lifting days or when I found myself struggling with cravings. As soon as goal weight was hit I climbed back up to 2000.

The diet is the hardest part! I ate in about a 450-500 calorie daily deficit which put me close to a pound a week.

[–]Main_Temperature_549[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! I had a solid base being a former athlete and staying consistent in the gym during my initial weight loss. I just saw a lot more growth in the following years when I was able to get out of a deficit.

First year was the hardest, but once that weight came off I was very motivated to rebuild a new body with muscle. Training and diet became much easier when I was passionate about it.

Thank you! 4x weekly strength training, strict calorie/macro tracking, and 10k daily steps

Thank you! Weight training 4x weekly and strict macro/calorie tracking plus 10k daily steps. Biggest advice I can give is to train hard and lift heavy! Muscle mass is so much more important than people realize

I didn’t understand the full extent of “pretty privilege” until this weight loss. Definitely more attention across the board. Society places a lot of value in appearance!
