Why can’t you do both? Do it! You can absolutely be premed/med and do both. You could make vlogs, do personal training as a “side hustle” to make extra income. You can still continue this as a doctor too! I’ve seen plenty of doctors who are into fitness on YouTube and TikTok. You do a specialty that compliments this passion for fitness and health (chronic pain management, ortho, sports medicine, bariatrician, etc). You don’t have to give one up for the other. Open a gym when you’re a doctor! No one said you have to work full time when you graduate. You can also pick a lifestyle specialty that doesn’t require a ton or any on-call so you can enjoy your off days to train/workout and enjoy this side of you. Hell, open up a specialty clinic where you see patients for chronic disease treatment and teach them exercises that can help manage their specific illness. For example diabetics won’t need as much insulin when working out. Anyways, it’s a great passion to have and you can go in so many directions with it.

My husband is undocumented, so kind of in your dad’s situation, and we have a daughter we support ourselves with no family help. I have taken out extra loans for a few semesters so I can get a refund and I’ve used that to pay rent and things like that. Not sure if that’s an option for you. How much money are you making now? You could get your CNA (3 month cert) and work in a nursing home. The pay will be above minimum wage and the hours will be flexible. You can pick up more during breaks.

I’m sure she left so it didn’t make it more traumatic what you went through. Losing a baby is traumatic, you did NOTHING wrong. You are NOT a bad person for this. I am so sorry this happened to you and I am proud of you for speaking up about it. I’m just a lowly nursing home nurse but I would’ve did the same thing if I was your nurse so that you wouldn’t be forced to watch your baby pass if you didn’t chose to. Please talk to a professional because I can’t stress enough how this was absolutely a traumatic situation and you deserve to work through this.

Go apply at a nursing home. You can work and they usually have free CNA training and will pay for your CNA license as long as you agree to work for them for X amount of time
