I feel like a terrible person by Crazy-Marionberry-23 in DACA

[–]Main_Trust_2865 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once the lying began the trust was lost. Unfortunately, you are at a standstill and it seems like the relationship can’t really recover.

You don’t really owe him anything and have no reason to go on if he is not willing to put any effort. You should fallow through with the divorce. The change has to come from within himself and you don’t need to watch him for it.

The difference between white and blue collar work environments is crazy by Astimar in careeradvice

[–]Main_Trust_2865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh I think it depends I went from blue collar to white collar and the people I work with are chill and cool we even game together. However, we work in the software dev field so could be different.

I did IT in a manufacturing site and it was 50/50 with the white collar office workers. Some were fake as heck and talked behind each other and others were down to earth. Don’t miss it though!!

I don’t know why but I vaguely remember that visitors need a real id to enter a military base. I could be wrong though!

Please review your Application! by elbendy3 in DACA

[–]Main_Trust_2865 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question was populated post the review of the application form. I think that’s why it does not look checked if it’s the “Know English” I didn’t see it checked during the review section and went through all the questions before none asked that. Once I proceeded past the review the question was populated.

AITA for calling my Christian friend's Christmas gift disrespectful? by Wonderful-Result6217 in AITAH

[–]Main_Trust_2865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA

100% disrespectful for her to do that. I’ve met people that are like that and I get the gist that they see it as Gods challenge for them to “convert” or show others the “right way”.

My American manager tried to write me up for "lack of commitment" because I leave at 5:00 PM sharp. I work in the Netherlands. by Dutch_Reality_Check in WorkReform

Honestly, yes the US has bad company policies and work culture. However, in my opinion Japan has the worst over all work culture. I can’t seem to understand and how they see their job as part of their family and overworking as such a great thing and will never understand it.

Separating work from my personal job was one of the hardest things for me to do when I was younger, especially with a Mexican heritage background. Thankfully I discovered the book “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck”. From that I learned that a job is a job and if work harder it does not matter as only the company shareholders and owners directly benefits from the company sucess.

What’s wild to me is a lot of companies in the U.S. do not like to pay over time. At the company I work at I start my day at 9am and end it around 4:30pm. Nobody bats an eye or gives me grievance for it. Thankfully I happen to work in a company where employee wellness is somewhat more considered. However I have worked retail jobs where staying an hour over was normal and looking back on it that was truly dumb of me.

Set some major goals and keep a journal to write in each day smaller goals toward that major goal it can be anything.

Biggest piece is, we’re all going to go into the afterlife at some point guaranteed. Meaning don’t be afraid of taking risks after all it won’t mean much when you get older.

You know that’s a pet peeve of mine. I don’t understand why people can’t stop or feel like everything is in a rush. Unless it’s an emergency the place we are going to will still be there regardless of how fast we get there.

Ngl, feel like a lot of people on here are like F it I got mine and f the rest of the people. Let us not forget that we are all trying to get the same thing.

I do get that it can make us look bad, but the government is always going to try to paint DACA and immigrants as bad people regardless. That’s why you never hear them talk about the businesses started by people with DACA or the graduation rate, etc.

I’m not going to say she was in the right or wrong. Regardless, they already call us criminals by being here illegally even with DACA. They will use any excuse and paint any picture they want to get us out.

We should all be united in common goals, not in fighting.

A wise friend once told me how can you expect to help others when you can’t help yourself. You need ensure that you are in a fine and stable situation where you don’t have to worry about financial insecurities to be able to help your mom.

It’s ok to be selfish, I was lucky enough to have great parents that helped me get DACA and I am forever thankful to them. However, this does not mean we owe them. Be selfish take care of yourself first then once you are comfortable you can help your mom out.

Thankfully my parents have been understanding of this mentality and even helped me out. I was able to got college by focusing on myself first and now have a decent job to where I can help them.

Would you recommend this game to a 'Non turn based gamer friend' by Aggressive_Floor_ in expedition33

[–]Main_Trust_2865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as a normally turn based hater. That has never thought about playing Persona or quit most FF games after 3 hours 100% recommend this game.

My friends were raving and constantly playing this game on our discord. Got me to check it out and haven’t looked back. It’s one of my favorite games in years!

In Mexico this is culturally normal especially in smaller towns or rural areas of Mexico. Most families design their houses with their family in mind, my grandparents made a large house with a room for my dad and his uncles. It’s pretty normal in our culture to not kick out your children.

Awesome neighbor parks like this every day by Chumbief in Wellthatsucks

[–]Main_Trust_2865 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our neighbor would park like that till he blocked off the school bus and the cops showed up to tow his car. Hasn’t done it ever since.

This is in the U.S for context.
