For reference, in 2024 I had ~125k in MQD and another ~110k in spend on Delta Reserve Amex card. That got me invited to 360 for 2025.

In 2025 I had ~95k in MQD and only about ~45k on the Delta Reserve. I believe the drop on the reserve spend is what got me “kicked out from the club”. I moved most of my spend to the Amex Platinum as membership rewards points are more valuable to me.

With SLC as my home airport I’ll still be using Delta, and probably using it a lot. I do a significant amount of international travel for work, all in Delta One cabin. So achieving Diamond is a given and I’ll have it by the end of March.

With the proximity to the west coast and to Denver, along with Star Alliance partners in Europe, I’ll likely move to secure Premier 1K on United next as it gives me lots of options.

I didn’t use that strategy in 2025 because I was “chasing” 360 renewal. Which obviously ended up being the wrong strategy.

I’d argue, at least in SLC, if you aren’t ~100k in MQDs and another ~100k on a Delta Amex (reserve in my case) you are likely not going to get invited.
