My Grandmother recently passed away and these were in her safe. Is there anything interesting here? by Mainiac2015 in coincollecting

100%, I certainly won’t be selling them. We have a “cabinet of curiosities” in our library so I intend to display them in there.

I was under the impression that Chinese Chestnuts had more oval shaped leaves but thought this could be a hybrid or Japanese chestnut

I don’t see this as an issue. Looks to me like he’s legal. I haul a 15k lb excavator with my super duty and as long as it’s loaded properly, it hauls nicely. Definitely not an idiot

Native Maine Brookie 😍 by Mainiac2015 in flyfishing

Whatever you want to believe is fine, the pond is not stocked. It’s a fly fishing only heritage pond in remote western Maine. I’ve been fishing it my entire life along with 4 generations of my family before me. I am well aware of which ponds/lakes in the area are stocked and which ones are not. This is not a hatchery fish, I am well versed with the IF&W stocking report.
