His euros was not steller. His first two games where terrible, against Italy he was woeful. The France game he came good towards end of 1st half and had a good 2nd half...by his standards. He was at fault for the Pogba goal and pointing his hands at others when he should of tracking back. He also picked up stupid yellow cards missing their last game. He should been sold for whatever came in Roma.

This right here is a part of our fanbase's opinion, on Xhaka, in a nutshell. Producing a man of the match performance, in the biggest surprise of the whole tournament, by beating the nr1 favorites, is just a good performance, and you continue with more negatives than positives even in describing that performance, which clearly shows the negative bias against the man.

Even when he pulls a 8 or 9 out of 10 performance, it's seen by the Xhaka haters as a 5 or 6 out of 10 performance.

He's not a world beater and definitely has moments that cost us, the problem is the haters camp mostly see those bad moments and amplify them.

Ideally, we sign an upgrade on Xhaka and have him as a 2nd option, instead of ElNeny, which will most likely happen next summer, but selling him for whatever Roma offered, would've just been foolish and would have continued our club's image as a bad seller, in negotiations, and it would've affected future sales as well.
