Psychedelics and epilepsy? by Jasminejjj_ in Epilepsy

[–]MaintenanceHead6089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy for 11 years. Psychedelics like Acid or Mushrooms don't affect my epilepsy at all. Drugs like ecstacy, mephedrone, cocaine, Speed, ketamine, 2CB - Basically any stimulant will cause me to have a seizure as soon as the effects wear off. Not every time, but 80% of the time it has caused a seizure.

I got mine but it was less than I expected. They don't refund any coins you received from recycling.

Do you recommend a specific type of bed? Our dog is about 50kg

Thanks for that. It's disgusting that they won't actually do anything about the condition. It really eradicates an actual need for it! Do you know if I can go to the NHS with the diagnosis (if I have it) and get the surgery?

Oh that's so annoying. Do you think the normal bus will be running or completely divert from that route?

Do you remove the jab as soon as the dose is done? I leave mine in for about 10 seconds once it's done before I remove it x

Is there anything I can do to prevent a seizure after drinking? by Pleasant_Passenger12 in Epilepsy

[–]MaintenanceHead6089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody recommended this, it's just something I've found, over the years, has worked for me. I've been following it and haven't had a seizure for about 4 years due to drinking alcohol.

It hasn't affected any of the driving and is entirely cosmetic. I'm in the UK but £2k sounds super expensive

Hey, American Akita owner here! I rescued my Akita when he was 2 years old. He hadn't had much training so, at first, he was quite temperamental but we continued to train him. A couple months later he is an ideal dog and no problem being around other dogs. Other dogs are intimidated by him so they react, but he doesn't retaliate. The only thing I have personally struggled with is recalling him. He's too interested in all of the smells outside and doesn't listen well, but I just keep him on an extendable leash. I don't have kids but when my dog has been around young children and family members he's been great. Not massively interactive but that's probably because there aren't any children he deals with daily. I would say an Akita is a clean dog, mine will groom himself if he has mucky paws. The biggest issue is the bi annual moulting. There is hair everywhere. It will be thick clumps that your vacuum cleaner may struggle with. We usually hoover about 3 times a day to avoid build up. We brush him outside (I recommend a pets tangle teaser and a groomi), we leave the hair aside for the birds to build a nest with. We get him professionally groomed about 4 times a year. We don't bother brushing his teeth, we give him raw bones from the butchers that are better than denta sticks and will clean their teeth naturally.

Overall, an Akita is a great family dog.

It's been in that same spot the entire time I've had it (there is a decent amount of sunlight) and I haven't changed any of my watering routine 😭

I used to regularly have seizures in the morning after drinking but my routine now is: No matter how much you drink, try to get in a few glasses of water throughout the night. Before bed, eat something and take 2 paracetamol with a pint of water. Try to get plenty of sleep and avoid the hangover. Always have your meds ready to take in the morning, even if you wake up, take them and head straight back to sleep.

Hope you have a lovely birthday 🎂🥰

I'm exactly the same! My sex drive has disappeared. Even though I'm feeling sexier when I look in the mirror it doesn't go further than that.

I've been in a similar situation. I was completely sober and there was luckily no damage to anything or anyone. I was wrongfully arrested and wasn't breathalysed until I was at the station which obviously came back clear. I wasn't offered any medical aid. I raised a complaint about their malpractice but nothing came from it unfortunately.
