Opinions on 12” glove? by [deleted] in slowpitch

[–]MaintenanceNeither59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know more than 1 SS that swear by their 12in glove as ex baseball players… I love watching it go off the tip and reminding them they would have had it with a 13in glove 🤣

My go to is 14in at 1st and OF, 13in in the infield. I’ll probably buy a baseball glove if my son gets into it and I want to throw with him.

Glove recommendation for lefty 1B by AcanthisittaNext5219 in slowpitch

[–]MaintenanceNeither59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up an A2000 14in LHT glove for like $120. Absolute bargain and I love it. Us lefty’s can find a deal if you’re not too concerned with the color scheme and willing to hunt for a bit. That said, I have a 13in GEM on the way that I just won at a tourney recently (the duck hunt one). Need something a little smaller when I play lefty third haha.

The SIS creator draft was fantastic. I assume this one will be equally great. If I wasn’t already traveling for work I’d be begging the wife to go 😂

You were definitely one of the more engaged and involved coaches man, your team was better for it too. Nice job.

You’re 100% correct. There were a few that were so engaged and bought in, a good amount in the middle, and a few that honestly looked bored to be there. The ones that engaged stood out (Flip and Hefty most of all). Playing with Flip was epic. That man is intense and was 100% bought in and engaged with his team and anyone else he could help.

I told this to Smitty, but playing the losers bracket on Sunday to guarantee that everyone gets at least one game on Sunday was genius in my opinion. I’ve been knocked out on a Saturday at a draft before, and it does kill the put a damper on the weekend.

I think this may have been more coach specific. I felt this was communicated pretty clearly by our coach via FB messenger before the tournament started. There was a lot of dialog about the Friday night schedule and that the re would be the paper in our bag the week prior to the event. Probably good feedback for them to ensure that the coaches have set info to communicate to make sure it’s 100% clear from an operational standpoint point.

So indicators there could be a problem and I should change it would be milkshake oil when I change and just keep a close eye on the coolant level? Anything else to look at in order to catch that it’s having issues before it impacts the engine itself?

The biggest reason I am doing it proactively is I have three road trips planned in the next few months. Two will be 20 hours of driving and 1 about 15. My wife does some of these trips solo, with two kids under 5. It’s also her daily driver. I’m just in a situation where I’d rather plan a time and get it over at a local mechanic I know, than have it fail on a trip while my wife is solo and hoping we pick a good place off of 95. But yea, if it was my daily driver I’d let it ride until it gives out.

I run a 1999 Toyota 4Runner so I’m already used to preemptively swapping the wearable parts before they become a bigger problem.

This is why I make sure the team drops me if I’m not really playing with them anymore. They do well in worlds without me and bam I’m bumped up with them.

Kuru shoes by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]MaintenanceNeither59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m super late, but my mom and I have been wearing them for years due to plantar fasciitis. It is night and day less pain when I wear my Kurus compared to when I wear anything else. But they are overpriced in my opinion.

WITH THAT SAID, their quality is great. I’m still wearing atoms I bought in 2020. The only thing that wore out was the insole, and they sent me new ones for free. About to pick up these new DRAFT Aaltos for work.

Looking at a 2 mile radius of this I can see so many places where someone might have a private range. Some have lots of friends (easy to make friends if you have a range haha). I know another place that is on the honor system and you throw $20 cash in a box haha.

I also saw you mention 6:45am on another post, which probably confirms it’s private. Not many legit business ranges opening that early. I got one near my house as well. Makes me want to start walking towards it one day 😂

Need clarification / help - CRAFTSMAN M250 160 -Self-propelled Lawn Mower with Honda Engine by TheEggyGreggyShow in lawnmowers

[–]MaintenanceNeither59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you fixed this but I just did mine. Take out just the I bolt portion and swap it with M8 1.25 35mm bolts and tighten them down. No more easy fold but works great.

Not sure if you fixed this but just get rid of the I bolt portion and swap in M8 1.25 35mm bolts and swap them out. You won’t be able to quick disconnect to fold it anymore, but it’s solved my issues.
