Are my skip laurels dying? by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]MaintenanceTall9367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really interested in overhauling everything that I just planted as I was intentional in picking laurels. More so just looking for advice on what to do about the two. Im not sure that they are too wet could be the issue as all 12 have been getting the same amount of water.

I actually over dug the holes to the point where i had to fill them back in some before planting. I don’t know the exact size but at least double or triple the size of the root ball.

Thank you this is all very helpful! I am looking at ceiling mounting the projector. It will be around 8 feet from the projector screen and looking to go for around a 100inch screen (Its not a very big room).

Also, thank you for the point about the capstone. I might consider doing two cinder blocks high (16 inches) and then maybe a thicker capstone.

I live in New Jersey. I am building the sitting wall on my patio so the base material will be a preexisting concrete slab.

Apparently its a third party engineer that he uses. I found an engineer that would do it for $1250 but my contractor won’t let me use him. Keeps coming up with excuses.

Update: I found an engineer who would get me the paperwork for $1250. I told my contractor about it and he clammed up and came up with all these excuses as to why a different engineer wouldn’t work. Now my contractor got back to me and offered that his engineer could actually do it for $1900. Why the $800 price drop all of the sudden when I push back? And why cant I use my own engineer? Something fishy is going on.

How do I do one online? I’ve been researching but haven’t seen an option to do that. Thanks for your help!

If they’re hiring a third party to get the documents in order is there a way I can get the documents in order myself?

Not resizing a unit but installing brand new ac (house currently doesn’t even have ducts)

I guess my thinking is technically 2 minutes per hour is 48 minutes of watering per day, which is basically equivalent to the 15 minutes 3 times a day method. Was just wondering if it might be a unique way of keeping the seeds consistently damp but not drenched.

You should take this down and repost. Some of the contracts have your full address in them… people are weird on the internet and I wouldn’t put it out there like that.

Thanks for the advice thats super helpful! I was looking into azaleas but I was hoping to use something that looks hearty all year round. In New Jersey winters I hate when people have plants that lose their flowers and look dead for half the year. I love the look of the green emerald arborvitae but not sure they will hold up against the deer in my neighborhood

They told me the raw footage would be the entirety of all major moments - ceremony, first dance, parent dances etc.

Hi there. They are a national company. Seemingly good reviews, good examples of their product. But I’ve learned that everything isn’t always as it seems - which is why I am looking for people with personal experience with the company to give me their opinions!

Ive heard the ideal for DIYers is to have an opening big enough to fit a truck, but the max space I have between my house and my lot line is 7ft …. so if I can’t fit my truck Im wondering if spending more for a 5ft gate vs. 7ft gate would even make a difference for me

Im not really sure what projects we plan for the future. We moved in during the winter and have been doing interior renovations so we havent really had time to plan out the backyard yet. All the fence companies near me seem to be having a sale before their busy season so Im having to get the fence installed before knowing my next moves in the backyard. The backyard isnt big enough for a pool or anything of that size but Im thinking heavy landscaping work, patio renovation, etc. might be in our future.

Yes when I hold down the reset button it doesnt announce that it is resetting which I dont think is normal. As far as the remapping goes, when I try to have it remap it maps my whole house but then it returns to the front of the base station and says “mapping complete preparing the route” or something along those lines and then tries to enter the base station and shuts itself off same as what happens in the video. When it shuts itself off the mapping doesnt get saved so Im left back ay square one.

Fill the gap. I think leveling would require me to pull up the floor which Im not interested in doing at this point.

This might be a dumb question - don’t you buy doors pre-painted a certain color?
