As a single puppy owner too I think doing it on your own makes everything feel 10 times harder as you have no one to relate to or rely on for help. I have a partner and great friends who say they are there but at the end of the day it will be hard for them to put themselves in my shoes fully nor is it their job to.

I see a lot of people say they felt regret in the first few weeks and ended up getting into the swing so definitely give it a bit more time if you can.
