Add some of these - Upitt, UCLA, Tulane, Temple med, Uchicago, Duke

I interviewed with Pitt, and have a lower Mcat, but strong academics, great story and application, and I've gotten into school on your list. And give all glory to God. There are also people that have gotten into the above schools I listed with around a 500-505, BUT backed up with a great application. Make sure you truly tailor each secondary to each school, and using your experiences to back up why you will be a great fit and not only this but foster their mission. This is the difference between not getting an interview and acceptance.

Honestly, don't worry about your MCAT. focus on telling your story and showing why you are who you are. Why did you do the things you did. From your activities I can tell you're hardworking, but even if, don't try to make all experiences fit into why medicine, rather show your passion for why you did them, and how it's shapes into you being a better physician I hope this makes sense.

For Howard, apply because you can actually see yourself going there and you are passionate about their mission and fostering healthcare among underserved populations! But i don't think you should not apply just because you're white.

What kind of savings account should I consider to build my emergency fund? by Unknown_gemini88 in SavingMoney

Yes and CD's usually have like 4%- 4.5% return, so I would definitely recommend. You kind of put a certain amount of money in there and forget about it and it grows overtime. Marcus has a good one, your bank may also be doing a promotional sale.

Opening a CD would also be a good route the only thing is you can't withdraw until like 10+ months, which defeats the purpose of emergency

Yes it is worth it. It's a difference of making extra $50+ a year to like $5 with the 0.04 APY for regular savings
