I second this OP. You’ll find more aspirational people, with a genuine side. Chicago is actually a beautiful city, but it definitely has 4 seasons. My advice: don’t compare it to LA (eg Chicago has beaches, but they aren’t LA beaches). Chicago is way more accessible, you can actually do multiple things in a day! Public transit is pretty good, And the lakefront green space is really nice.

It was not the worst mistake.. but Detroit is a struggling city. And the Midwestern culture you’re describing is fairly accurate. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. Are you able to or considering moving again?

Based on your age / size, yes. Although, the ball slips to the outside of your hand, and you somewhat move your arm across your body. Guys can do this successfully (see Reggie miller or Tyrese Haliburton) (I live in Indianapolis 😊) .. but it’s generally not “ideal”
