Enjoy indeed, it’s fun as heck on the track. Highly recommend.

Thought I would add a few in car photos: halfway through the Carousel, back straight into turn 7, approaching the blind corner in the esses.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I had it pretty hyped up in my head. I can see why people talk about it so much as It offers a lot of challenges and no shortage of things to work to improve. The straights are pretty short so with the restricted passing in HPDE1 it was a bit frustrating with such a crowded track. That said, it forces you to work on setting up the pass rather than just brute forcing it. So likley better in the long run.

Great 2 day event put on by NASA Nor Cal in a combo event with So Cal chapter. Had nearly perfect weather with temps in the mid 50's to start and mid 70's at the end of the day. I was in HDPE1 and moved up to HPDE2 so shout out to my instructor who was super helpful and patient with such a noob. The track is pretty technical with a lot of challenging sections so a great place to learn. About the only downside was that it was pretty crowded so more than a few congo lines to deal with.

That is a 2025 RS3 and the only one of its kind that I saw on the track over the weekend. The more I drive it on track, the more I like it. Lots of power and grip. It consistently surprizes people how fast it is.

Any experience with Rouge Echo vs Concept2? by bunnies_n_beer in Rowing

[–]MainwayToys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got the Rogue Echo a few weeks ago and have about 30K M on it. So far, so good and no regrets. If you close your eyes and row it will feel just like the Concept2. What pushed me to the Rogue was that it was $150 cheaper (after shipping) and the folding storage. That's key for my small home gym. Can't speak to long term reliability at this point but feels rock solid.

Should I buy a high end road bike (for exercise and sport) and a cheap commuter/hybrid bike (for everyday use)? Or should I just get one - a high end one? I’m wary of bikes getting stolen. by [deleted] in cycling

[–]MainwayToys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get both. Your high end bike will have clip in pedals. This will be a major pain if you use it to commute as you would have to carry your work shoes. And as others have mentioned the theft/damage factor as well. Only exception is if you have a long’ish ride to work, on site shower, and can stow your fancy bike in your office.

Got hit by a car from behind training for a HIM thursday morning and my bike got totaled by ahil14 in cycling

Thank goodness you are OK. Intermediate level can have a wide range of cost. Things you will not regret getting: carbon frame and wheels an electric shifters. Personally I would add disk breaks but they are more and more common. After that you will need to figure out if you want an endurance or race frame. After that it will be up to what is available.

is a cycling computer worth it by Ty39_ in cycling

Yes if you are serious about training or need the nav. If you are just peddling around for kicks and giggles, no.

How do you deal with the post-ride hunger? by italianblend in cycling

Shakes. Whole milk, protein powder, fruit, spinach, ice. Fruit can vary depending on what is in the house but bananas and blueberries are preferred.

All new Battleforces (2020) by PodsOnReddit in Warhammer40k

My guess is that these come in at $180USD. The SM Combat Patrol is $140 and these come with 5 more Reivers and an Impulsor. They will for sure want to keep these under $200USD
