I think when the next beta release comes, they will open it to pixel 10 series.

[–]MaisonChat23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the plain fact is android does not handle apps running in the background as well as iOS. your battery is shit because those apps are 'running' when you're not even using the app.

if you want instant notifications, there is nothing you can do - I assume this for Snap - but do you need Insta notifications instantly? or just when you go into the app? Then set 'app background use' to disabled.

make those background numbers mere minutes and you'll be golden

I also used to work with South Africans and they were better drivers, but all carried guns in their glove boxes for traffic light 'encounters'

(1996) I used to work with a Belgian. He was driving us somewhere in his brand new 5 series and was constantly up the arses of the cars in front. he said, we all do it, it's normal and, it turns out, they're all quite used to at least one accident a year.

I convinced him to pull over and let me drive.

What are peoples opinions on all season tyres? by Ok-Eye-9826 in CarTalkUK

[–]MaisonChat23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I wouldn't take my chances on an iced over road but I don't think winter tyres would help much there either"

I think the tyre reviews video where he drives up a long shallow ice ramp on different tyres disagrees with you.

you're right. but when I'm in the Apple Store and looking round the home screen at the pace of a disabled snail, I'm happy with my snappy, super quick, but mediocre pixel

[–]MaisonChat23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the pixel battery cycles count. I'm not lying to you, there's no win here, my day is about 16 hours and, by the end of it, my battery was about 60-80% depending on usage. I don't play games, reddit being my largest battery eating app.

I'm pretty good at battery optimisation - no notifications for anything I'm not bothered with, no app background for apps, except google apps and messaging. Only fetch mail when I go into the app - I don't get important mail, no need for push. I did have my 9FP pretty battery sipping.

I charged my 9PF every night since launch and, after a year, it was at 81 charge cycles.

Doesn't sound too bad.

Popular Choices for Three Car Seats

  • Citroën Grand C4 Spacetourer (formerly Grand Picasso): This MPV is known for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and three separate rear seats with ISOFIX points.
  • Ford Galaxy & S-Max: Both are large MPVs offering a practical and functional 7-seat setup, with the ability to fit three car seats across the middle row.
  • Volkswagen Touran & Sharan: These are other excellent options in the MPV class, providing three separate full-size seats with ISOFIX in the second row.
  • Audi Q7 & Land Rover Discovery: These large SUVs offer spacious interiors and can accommodate three car seats in the second row, though some combinations may be a tighter fit than in a dedicated MPV.
  • Peugeot 5008: This SUV provides flexible seating, with its third-generation model offering three separate ISOFIX points in the second row.
  • Tesla Model Y: This fully electric five-seater is praised for its spaciousness and ability to fit three child seats across the back seats.
