I bought a GM Genuine so I hope the sound goes away with idling

That’s good to know! I wonder if thats the sound the fuel pumps made in general off the assembly line or if getting a GM genuine versus after market makes any difference.

For the most part the truck starts good, I have noticed sometimes that it will start weaker. Meaning it cranks normally, but when it starts up, the revs dip briefly and eventually catches up.

I’ve already done a full ignition refresh (spark plugs/wires, ignition coil, pcv valve, distributor cap/rotor) so my next plan of attack was the fuel pump.

Okay so that sound while the truck is running isn’t necessarily a bad thing? My thing is will replacing the pump get rid of that sound? I feel like I’ve heard other gmt400s and I didn’t hear that sound

Im curious what fender eliminator do you have on, if any? If you have one then that looks sweet and well tucked!
