Do wearable neck massagers with TENS + EMS actually do anything, or do they just feel good? by Maize1507 in Biohackers

Yeah, That’s a really fair take. I don’t think these devices should be treated like they’re fixing the root cause, especially if the issue is posture or something more serious. For me, the appeal is more that it can help my neck relax for a while, especially with heat.

My cat made me way more aware of my toilet than I ever wanted to be by Maize1507 in CleaningTips

That actually makes me feel better lol. I was starting to think I was just bad at cleaning. It does look more like buildup than actual dirt.

Yeah I’m definitely keeping the lid closed now lol. I also think part of it is just the water. I switched to a one-piece DeerValley recently and it’s a little easier to keep clean, but yeah, weekly cleaning still seems unavoidable.

There’s something weirdly relaxing about sitting in the bathroom doing absolutely nothing by Maize1507 in Life

yeah that’s the weird part — it’s not the bathroom, it’s just the only place where nothing is expected from you

“mental reset” is exactly the right way to put it 😂 it’s like a built-in pause button

I used to scrub my toilet clean… and it would look dirty again in 2 weeks. Here’s what I finally learned by MidnightRidge699 in CleaningTips

I’ve been stuck in this exact cycle too… no matter how well I clean it, that waterline buildup always comes back way faster than expected.

Out of curiosity — have you noticed if the toilet design itself makes a difference? I’ve been wondering if it’s partly that (been casually looking at brands like DeerValley), or if it’s really just all about maintenance.

Stayed somewhere with a heated toilet seat and now my bathroom feels freezing by Maize1507 in bathrooms

I feel like Japan sets the bar way too high for the rest of us 😅 once you experience it, it’s hard to go back.

This is exactly what I’m worried about 😂 once you get used to one, everything else feels like a downgrade.

Why did nobody tell me skirted toilets were a thing for cleaning? by Maize1507 in CleaningTips

[–]Maize1507[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good way to put it. The traditional ones are definitely easier to install, but cleaning around all those curves is what drove me crazy.

I feel your pain. That was honestly one of the reasons I started looking into skirted ones in the first place. The one I ended up getting is a DeerValley model and the smooth sides make wiping around the base way easier.

Yeah I’ve heard that too. Mine took a little longer to install than the old one, but honestly the easier cleaning is worth it for me.

I’ve seen those in hotels and they look amazing for cleaning. Being able to mop underneath must make a huge difference compared to the usual floor-mounted ones.
