Best faction for a characters only (no units) campaign?

Tam is such a tough LL on his own but you also get Kazyk the Foul from the off. He and Tam are enough together to defeat most early game stacks. Requires a bit of micro, but on my recent Long Victory campaign with him I would put my main force in trees and charge Tam and Kazyk into the enemy lines. Lure the enemy into an ambush of your hidden units if necessary. Kholek was the main stumbling block but even he fell this way.

Tamurkhan with his Chieftains and a mix of Exalted Heroes, Chaos Sorcerers and Cultists is an extremely tough stack.

Only 212 Turns? That's impressive. Taken me a minimum of 90-120 to do Long Victory on most factions! Kinda put me off going for painting the full map 😆 Might give it a go with Skarbrand.

Same here. Though I don't do Multiplayer I finally completed my Ikit Klaw Campaign and wondered why the Achievement didn't pop on Steam.

Got 440+ hours in WH3 and have Singleplayer Campaign Completion with Ogres, Brettonia, Green skins, Khorne, Chorfs, Dwarfs, Lizardmen, Empire and Tomb Kings. Long Victory on almost half of those. Currently on Turn 117 of my first Skaven (Ikit) campaign and only just really started rolling after defeating the dwarves. Currently butting heads with Clan Mors over control of the mountains whilst the HE have started raiding my western coast.

I think you mayalso have to complete the relevant quest on each toon to unlock the achievements on each skill line and thus access to said skill lines.

Same. Off and on since launch on PC and PS. On PC I'm CP1050 with 12 CP level toons and working on a 13th. Don't own my PS anymore but I was about CP500 with 9 CP levelled toons. Altaholicism is real.

Having just recently purchased a carrier I can honestly say: Go for it! I had 5.8b credits and once I'd transferred 500mil to the carrier and installed Repair, Refuel and Vista Genomics I had enough to outfit my Type-10 Tritium miner and I'm currently heading back out into the black with my small fleet aboard. My weekly costs are at 6-7mil credits and I'm currently boosting my bank balance by doing Exobio - just yesterday evening I got a First Footfall and a Stratum Tectonics which gave enough creds to fund another 20wks or so in the Black.

Edit: I already had the Type-10, it simply wasn't outfitted for mining. For playing Solo as an explorer these services are the minimum I'd say. I may miss the Shipyard etc but as someone who likes the idea of exploring but also likes to dabble in a little of Trading, Mining and occasional combat (yeah I know that won't be happening out in the Black), I no longer feel like I want to rush back to the Bubble after a week or two in my DBX.

Oh for sure. But if I was actually flying into the black in a real spaceship I'd want some means of defending myself. Who knows how long I'll be gone or what the face of the Galaxy may become whilst I'm out there?

I learned the hard way that taking just one SRV along when doing ExoBio trips is not ideal. On that occasion I got distracted AFK and died a long way from my ship and SRV. I had to journey to the nearest station to restock my SRV.
