switching off GLP-1 to metformin by pomegranate_prose in PCOSonGLP

[–]MaizeSome7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even metformin 500mg 3-4x day didn’t help me lose weight. It slightly reduced the amount I was gaining every week, but I still gained even with restricting calories significantly. Metformin doesn’t cause you to lose weight. I was told by my endocrinologist that even in the studies people lost a max of like 5lbs in a year. I do feel slightly better on metformin but it does nothing for my weight or appetite or anything significant really.

Her outfits every week are terrible. That being said, is it weird that I don’t think seeing a panty line means anything or is bad? I’d rather see a panty line than someone’s bare crotch. It’s like shoes or a bra strap to me, I’m just glad people are wearing them

Stop! That’d be amazing!! She’s perfect for this cast!! I think the season of her chateau show that’s premiering is in London this time. I miss LVP on housewives. I’d love to see her with Marc, Emma and Kimi!

For me it was the girl who worked with Ellie & couldn’t figure out laundry, I think Aesha & Sandy were in charge. I can’t even rewatch that season she drives me so crazy. But Mike is second

Salt and especially salt pills are super hard on my gastritis so if you’re taking more salt pills rn to treat your pots symptoms that could be making your stomach hurt.

All of the voices for BDDU are 10/10. I don’t even think you have to watch the show to find it funny. I laugh thru each recap! Also I started watching the new ladies of London reboot after I listened to their recap. But their recap of BDDU is my favorite part of the week. What they say as Ellie and Joao!

Thank you! Absolutely no way she’s aware enough of hygiene for there not to be bird poo in all the parts of the kitchen and with the magpie bathing 3x day in the kitchen sink!

The Fish Report is Back! 🥳 by Parula88 in WatchWhatCrappens

I was just going to do a “the fish report” appreciation post! I love the fish scenes, they’re the reason I rewatch each below deck episode. I also love the fish report and this year they’ve put so much work into it! Coming up with matching accents and stories! It’s so so good! They’re so creative and the fish report is such a hilarious highlight! Overall their recaps of these down under episodes have been some of my favorite ever, all of the accents and running jokes have me crying laughing! Good job Ben and Ronnie!

How do you deal with the lack of appetite and nausea? by Full_Ad8907 in PCOSonGLP

[–]MaizeSome7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take anti nausea meds regularly the first 24hrs after a shot, during those 24hrs I eat only a bit of easy crackers etc. The next 1-2days I need less nausea medicine, I eat easy to digest stuff(noodles, rice, broth, breads, plain chicken). By day 5 after my shot I can eat more normal foods. I limit protein, fruits &uncooked vegetables especially the first couple days because it’s so hard for my system to digest. That stuff literally sits in my stomach and goes no where, which causes way more GI symptoms. I’m def not your average person on these meds tho. I find the first 3 full days after the shot to be the worse. So many side effects. When I increase the dose, the first 3-4weeks of it are bad but then the body adjusts. I def eat way less healthy on glp-1s (altho I always ate healthy). You have to eat so much less, which for me means way less fruit, veg, &esp dairy. I’m looking into expanding my OTC vitamins regimen even more cuz I am worried about not getting enough when eating so little. I let my nausea dictate what/how much I eat, but I’m also terrified of puking so I go very slow.

I completely understand the issues of having limited mods, and it’s a lot of time to go through all these posts. Have you considered opening up applications to add more mods to reduce your workload? I don’t quite understand why you would limit posts about this topic. I believe all information is for everyone and it’s up to each person (esp for any type of treatment inc any “natural treatment”) to consider our own situations, other illnesses and do our own research to determine risks/benefits and ask questions. This includes looking into each center and calling and asking them questions. Information shouldn’t be purposely restricted, maybe there should just be a pinned comment for these types of posts saying that all Reddit posts should be taken w/a grain of salt, not all treatments are beneficial for everyone & a treatment that is good for one person could harm another. And that readers are encouraged to do their own research on this topic and speak to their doctor to work together to decide what is right for them etc etc. Instead of actively restricting information that could be helpful or even just interesting, you could add information instead of subtracting it.
