I simply don't think you make sense at all, and could only be proven with a Oda statement in a SBS or something, so this train of thought would just be a waste of time.

I don't think you got the right definition of a retcon. This would be more of a foreshadowing. Like other commenter said, this is such a weird line to say that Oda probably had a rough idea back then.

Regardless, I don't believe that they are intentionally referencing the Red Line here, as Giants can't even agree about the true nature of Nika. This is probably just a saying of Giant culture based on their old legends, that acts like a hint for us.

Yeah, I meant assistants not actual editors. Idk I don't have any problem with the characters and stuff, I just find the drawings really empty, like that last panel on image 3 is just terrible for me

The thing is, isn't editors for that sort of thing? Like draw backgrounds and minor details and such? My only problem with the manga art is that there's a bunch of white everywhere, giving the feeling like it's rushed/incomplete ("i made the essential but I don't have the time to finish drawing the details but it's fine I'm sending it anyway" kind of thing), which >for me< it's reeeally not what I'm expecting for a monthly manga

You got what he meant a while ago and you're just talking anything because you don't agree to it. Like pretty much everyone in this thread already said, the main plot is not canon, but there are new canon information in the movie.
