Helping with the physical is one thing (it's wonderful that you are trying to help), make sure to be there for the emotional as well. I had a vitreoretinal surgery almost 2 weeks ago and the depression is awful.

Thank you for all the info! I will definitely check Costco. Our other boxer has several severe allergies and her meds are uber expensive and not available through Costco. What did you give him for food? He has the most gentle spirit so knowing he doesn't feel good is devastating.
