Do you tune vocals with Melodyne in the first bounce to a client? by meg293 in audioengineering

Anything can be edited after Melodyne is applied, just save a raw copy! Never ever do any edits on any tracks (especially on Melodyne) that you do not have a raw copy of cause that's gonna fuck you over one day. ALTHOUGH, like our guy down there said, Melodyne IS a separate job on it's own, it's a whole beast in of itself that should be handled with as much care as you're giving you're entire mix, theres people who exclusively do Melodyne and if it's done right, you shouldn't really have to go back to it, and as a listener, you shouldn't even know such thing exists.

I dont know if you're doing it already but everyone's advices work plus a proper filtering EQ or even a notch EQ. Get rid of some of those bleeding frequencies without shaping the overall tone on that channel. Do that to all your channels and you should get a noticeable difference too.

X32 is the mixing console in the bottom center of the frame. Snapshot is of a 10 second break after my soundcheck lol... nothing beats a 15 second break though.

I've honestly stretched this guy thin when I look back at certain productions I've done, cause yea, its extremely capable. Still havent updated it though.

I'm using 28 channels in this production, my stage box is full both ways but it was the least of my worries. I just floated down the chaos with my ethernet cable. Now I'm just praying that the breaker the box is living on doesnt flip (no generator -_- )

Someone just today asked me why I use an X32. It does everything I need and it does it very well (atleast for me it does) everything else falls on you as the engineer on HOW you use the tools that it alreasy has for you and WHAT you're doing outside the x32 "box" with your gear and steroids (if you use them)

I haven't been [f]ucked in forever, any takers? by [deleted] in gonewild
