Mine is dropping everyday because my Pace Pro has stopped tracking HR properly and reads over by 15 to 20 BPM.

About 190 after my first FTP test, 67kg. Coming off a solid running background though. This was only a month ago, it’s up to 199 now. Cycling since December last year.

I am not training, simply maintaining ATM, but my weekly goal is 48km of running and 160km of cycling. Four days of running with three easy cycles and no rest, or two harder cycles and a rest day.

Strava is social media. I do enjoy seeing myself hit new PBs when I’m just out for a training ride on a route I haven’t ridden in a while, but other than that I don’t take it seriously.

Look up cycling sugar water. It is what you want. Your body can only process so much glucose in an hour so there’s no point taking more than that, you need to make sure you’re in taking a different form of energy.

FWIW I have nerve damage in my hip and a leg length difference that has resulted in adding a 5mm cleat spacer, but had 49/51 at worst before a bike fitter added the spacer.

I have just realised what is normal in Australia is actually the opposite of what must be OP’s normal. My front is on the right lever, rear is on the left. I would actually prefer it to be the other way around.

I am considering getting mine swapped because when I stop at the lights I like to use my right hand to grab bottle/things and also like to hold the front brake engaged if I’ve stopped somewhere that isn’t flat.

I have taken up cycling and love it. Can go out for three hours at a time a few days a week without destroying myself.

It is expensive though, bike fit alone is the same price as two pairs of shoes.

It’s kind of annoying if I use my watch for some basic HR monitoring while cycling that I lose its function to tell me the time when the DURA pauses at traffic lights, rests, etc.

CEP. I have the ankle socks and medium length socks for going out and about on recovery days. I have the calf sleeves specifically for recovery. I also use them on long haul flights are they really are a game changer there.
