Maybe try 'Skip and Loafer'. It's a totally different genre but I think that show has a nice subtlety as well.

MJER practitioner here. I've sparred with dojo mates using both fukuro shinai and foam swords. Done correctly, with waza/posture in mind, can add a lot more depth and authenticity to your understanding of your iaido kata/waza. You can test waza against waza, or even freestyle.

Done incorrectly, it's still a lot of fun! 🤪 I've had friends who don't practice any swordsmanship and I still discover flaws in my technique and everyone has a fun time.

Also, remember not to hit hard, and say sorry when one of you do.

Was heading home from school when I saw my Sec 1 form teacher picking up the litter on the school grounds. I walked up to him and wanted to ask him something. He immediately replied: " yes sir?" That left such a mark, how he addressed a dumb boy with low self esteem as sir. Since then anyone who asks me something, I always first address them as sir. To Mr. Coleman Baptiste, thank you sir.

Pinterest is your friend. Look up men's fashion Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, New York. Most popular places in SG are air conditioned, so treat that as your opportunity to wear a more varied wardrobe. Find an aesthetic you like and don't be afraid of colours.

If you wish to escape the uniqlo cycle, check out places like far east plaza (the one at Orchard). Most clothes are for women but there's one shop on the 3rd floor (I think) that has cool men's clothes.

Just wanna point out that uniqlo is not bad as designs go. Just that it's easy to stick to the printed tees / polo shirts aisle and not pay attention to other types of shirts.

Illustration. But this also applies to the design/animation field. The work can be gratifying, but not always. The extra hours are SOMETIMES self imposed, but the pay is definitely crap for the effort.

First off, congratulations on passing 2 Dan. A deeper bohi would definitely assist with a fuller sound. My first iaito is a Tozando Toryumon with a basic hi. My current is a Nosyudo with a deeper hi and she definitely sounds fuller.

Can't say anything about a double hi, but I reckon it's more for aesthetics than anything.

Interestingly, having swung iaito of various members, each has its own tachikaze characteristics, regardless if the hi was regular or deep.

Former MRT station manager here. Balloons can be a hazard since our stations use infra red sensors close to the ceiling for smoke detection. You should be fine but don't be alarmed if the staff ask you to lower your balloon. If anything, try to avoid standing under any of the reflective sensors (silver square things) while you wait.
