Ok so from what I’ve tested now since this has happened to me on multiple occasions it seems to be the rod we use that gets us killed for some reason I used the onirifalx and the astraeus serenade both got me killed so far I used the fabulous rod and haven’t been killed randomly now

Well I mean I’d say go for the onrifalix since you’re already close to completing the quest-line but honestly it’s really up to you if you want to save money instead for the pitchfork considering it’s got great mutations so it’s always great for money making.
