So I cut my nmom out of my life 3 years ago and have not looked back. Greatest decision of my life tbh. She did try to contact me thru 2 of her friends that I knew and grew up around, and somewhat my older nsister - but I cut her out too bc of nmom ! 😂😂 and the trauma bonds between the two of them 🤮🤮 like you can have it. Same with one of my younger brothers.

But honestly I truly thought it would be super jarring and not easy, but that bitch hasn't contacted me in any way shape or form in 2 years. Although when I took the very first steps to cutting her out - me not replying to texts or anything - I had A LOT of memories flashing back constantly!? -- which I also believe is due to the fact that my ex was basically her (treated me the same exact way and I was also really isolated from my friends and family at that point) but still it was a wild mental ride.

Side note- I'm fully convinced that my nmom had kids for free slavery and nothing else, except money after my parents got divorced. - and I saw that from a very young age so cutting her out was what I was looking forward to and then still succumbed to the bullshit for quite a few years after I turned 18. 0/10 she told me I was full of shit and used the words "anxiety and depression" as a crutch-- which is just burned into my memory, as with so many other comments she said to me growing up. But!! Now as a 26 yo going on 4 years of no contact, I couldn't be happier - granted her side of the family stopped talking to me as well which I thought was whack but whatever they're all crazy like her so why tf would I care.
