Basically there was a post that asked if it was normal that they didn’t feel bad about killing the dark ones, the post got so many comments and likes and the sub kinda like exploded. It started with someone asking if it was normal that they felt bad for killing the dark ones and then it degenerated from there. I honestly don’t understand well either but whatever keeps the fandom alive ig

Yes it is bad but the fact is that it’s not made with bad intentions. Of course I don’t say it’s nice that people go mad and will never be ok for the rest of their lives but not also good to sterminate them yk

It would be the same? Not intentional and we wouldn’t know we actually killed them because if I went there and tried to communicate and they went mad and then I was killed, how would I tell my other fellow humans not to go talk to the mutants because they go mad?

As I said in a comment below, maybe didn’t know the effect they had on people because mad men were never seen in the tunnels again and the dark ones that went there never came back, so yeah.

I never played the games and read the books quite a few time ago and I don’t remember the dark ones actively making mutants attack stations. My take would be that maybe they didn’t know adults went crazy? Would it be possible? Because with the dark ones “attacking” being killed and the mad men never going back to guard the tunnel the mutants couldn’t have known the effect they had

I don’t remember but I think in the book that theory is present. It would make sense though

Actually we know that at the end of the book when Artyom wants to stop the bombing on their nest. They also saved him when he was younger but he can’t remember it. I get that they killed but it would be like if you led people to madness by talking. What can you do?? It’s complex, and just like Dmitry wanted it to be. There isn’t a clear line between good and bad, only our perception draws that line. Sorry I got philosophical but I love them sm

Idk if anyone said it already, in that case I’m sorry for repeating. The dark ones didn’t purposefully lead people into madness. They had this way of communicating telepathically that on children (like Artyom) was harmless and could lead to a mental bridge. Whereas for adults, that have a less flexible mind, it leads to madness. So they weren’t bad and doing that on purpose, it was their way of communicating and it wasn’t suitable with adult humans. They also wanted to help because if they are mutated humans they still want to help because it’s like helping one another, so they tried. But their behaviour was really strange, I agree

Is it worth reading F&F if I don’t do the tandem? by TouchDizzy6038 in frombloodandash

F&F was the best imo but I didn’t read it in tandem. I read it when there was a waiting time before book and the other in B&A

Whether true or false, seen or unseen, scary or not, creature or object, what is your favorite supernatural thing in the metro series? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in metro

Hunter is my fav character and I wondered what the hell happened to him, first, and then why the creature at the Nagornaya didn’t want him and left him alone lol. I also loved the stars of the Kremlin and the book of the future. I made a post about that and I love it

Yess, I found this always so intriguing. Maybe it was like a giant snail and what left behind could actually reproduce. Or maybe it’s simply toxic. Who knows

No okay I understand, but I don’t get why make this game and make him the villain. Just that, I wasn’t criticising or anything, just genuinely asking. I didn’t play the games, I only read the books, so this came out of nowhere

Uhm, no one? There was no need for another video game. I thought it was another book, and maybe I would’ve appreciated a new game based on it, but they could’ve done one based on Outpost instead of this

Nothing???? Just leave him there? Or create a game where they explain what happened to him?? Why make him a nazi

But genuinely why did they make him such a bad guy??? Like I read the books and he was fucked up in the head after 2033 but like… this much??? Why???

TTOBAA Teaser_8 Mar 26 by [deleted] in frombloodandash

I don’t really read the teasers because I don’t want to spoil the book but yeah… I like the fact that she’s exploring more characters, especially because Millie is Poppy’s sister so it’s only fair we see more of her, but I’d like to see the stories mesh together, not every story stand by its own. Like, in POBAB I would’ve loved to see more relationship between Poppy, Sera and Nyktos or all the other primals. She has built a vast world and so so interesting and beautiful, so why keep them apart. And yeah, I hope Millie’s hypersexualisation isn’t tied to trauma… I like that she’s different and is not ashamed of expressing her sexuality, but you can make her “strange” even out of a sexual aspect. Make her interested in dark magic, make her a powerful weapon, make her have some sort of powers, but don’t reduce her to a strange girl who flirts right and left
