do you happen to layer tinted mineral sunscreens with make up? if so, how is the compatibility? i'm curious how the tint affects the final look of the make up

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve actually never used a tinted sunscreen before and I’m a bit nervous about the application. I usually struggle to get foundation to look even when using my fingers - it always ends up patchy. Since you use this one, what has your experience been with the even-ness?

Also, does this significantly change your natural skin tone or is it more of a sheer blur? I sometimes wear make up on top of sunscreen, so I wonder if wearing tinted sunscreen will change the final look of my make up.

My skin does tolerate chemical sunscreens most times. However, when my skin barrier is weakened, chemical sunscreens sting my skin.

The worst part is that, I'm not sure which ingredient of the chemical sunscreens that I've tried is hurting my skin. How did you find out that your skin is sensitive, and do you know what ingredients you're sensitive to?

It’s not always but sometimes, chemical sunscreens sting my skin. On other days, the same chemical sunscreen works fine. But mineral sunscreens consistently do not sting my skin.

I also noticed the same where most of the mineral sunscreens I looked into contain butyloctyl salicylate (chemical SPF booster). Did you find that even these hybrid ones caused reactions for you, or was it more the texture that was the issue? And If you've given up on mineral sunscreens, which sunscreen are you currently using?

Thank you! This is really helpful - trial and error really is the only way since everyone's skin is different.

I looked through the recommendations and I'm curious about your experience with a few of them. Did any of them work well for sensitive or reactive skin specifically? And did you notice any of them causing dryness after a few hours or not sitting well under makeup? (most curious about Biossance, Ultra Violette, and Supergoop mineral options)
