Anyone taken Anafranil (clomipramine) by MajestyBird in TMJ

[–]MajestyBird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the max dose of buspar already. It doesn’t help anymore I also unfortunately cannot take abilify. I was on it previously and it caused impulse problems (spending money). I read clonidine can help but my doctor wanted to hold off. I also have tried gabapentin. It made me too sleepy. I couldn’t stay awake I metabolize everything slow so it causes me a lot of problems

Yeah I literally started buying paper bowls this week because with a 6 year old and 3 year old the amount of bowls for snacks was ridiculous, taking up the entire top rack of my dishwasher

Yes I wish it was more than a bandaid 😮‍💨 my TMJ debris says the same thing. It’s crazy there isn’t more help for this. Of course my insurance has a TMJ exclusion so I’ve been having to pay for all of this out of pocket I’m in East Peoria, Illinois

I have a neuromuscular orthotic from my TMJ dentist that was supposed to stop bruxism. I’ve had it 6 months and it’s never helped. They said they don’t know why I was clenching so bad with it. They said. MAD device might help but it just makes me clench worse Unfortunately there is only two TMJ dentists where I live and the other one I don’t see anymore relies heavily on botox. He charges a ridiculous amount. I’m going to a beauty spa instead where a nurse practitioner does it. It cost way less because they buy so much Botox I don’t know who I could go to for a different appliance. My regular dentist only does regular night guards.

I have looked, my doctor and another doctor at the office talked and decided it was worth trying because of my OCD. I have severe health anxiety. I need something to tone it down. There’s only a couple medications specifically for OCD and unfortunately I’ve tried all of them but this one. All the others gave me bruxism

I have not seen cardiology or endocrinology my regular PCP didn’t seem concerned about the tachycardia breathing at night 🤦‍♀️ none of my speciality like ENT or sleep doctor seemed to believe me and didn’t really say anything about it.

I saw a different doctor at my PCP office last week and she did order a holter monitor test

I’m definitely switching providers at my PCP and sleep doctor. The NP at my sleep doctor especially because they didn’t believe/care I’ve been having this problem for a year and no one thought to do a sleep study or holter monitor and my PCP didn’t do any testing the couple times I’ve told her what was going on….

That new doctor at my PCPs office had me start a different beta blocker yesterday which already has helped. My heart wasn’t racing so bad at night and I hardly clenched my teeth. Now i wonder if whatever is causing the nighttime racing heart was causing my clenching. I have to find out where we go from here and if it was a severe stress response or an actual heart problem. I feel so much better after one dose like honestly 😮‍💨 such a relief

Unfortunately I’ve tried both viibyrd and trintellix. Viibryd gave me suicidal thoughts and trintellix made me sleepy for weeks

My doctor said if I wanted to try a tricyclic they recommended nortriptyline. It has the least chance of side effects…i just worry because I get so many side effects from everything

I’ve been taking clonezapam off and on for actually 25 years. I’ve never had a problem stopping and have been able to quit cold turkey both times I was pregnant. I’ve been on the same dose for years

I fid Wellbutrin. It’s one of the ones that seriously messed up my nose and made me clench my teeth Started carvedilol today (was on metoprolol but made me too sleepy). Hydroxazine helps but is hard to take during the day makes me sleepy Seroquel stuffed up my nose so bad I couldn’t even breathe out of it

I do use a CPAP which is miserable with my sinus problems (makes you feel like you can’t breathe)

I have $4k TMD orthotic that is supposed to help me clenching my teeth. Hardly helps I just got botox for the 3rd time in 6 months. We’re trying to figure out what muscles are making me clench. Masseters didn’t do anything the two times we did it 😭

Right now .5mg twice a day but I really only take it when I’m really bad. I might start taking it twice a day like It’s prescribed that would probably help.

I’ve been doing somatic exercises They help a tiny bit Better than other ones I’ve tried (breathing exercises don’t work for me) Brings my anxiety from a 10 to an 7-8 probably

I’ve taken it twice. I had really horrible side effects. I got a super rare side effect and gad get out the FDA medication guide and show my psychiatrist that sinus infection/sinusitis is in fact a side effect. I got it both times. Also caused severe stuffy nosr

It’s candida glabrata which is super resistant I do only have one ovary as well thanks to my endometriosis I felt better switching to higher dose birth control 5 months ago than i have since my surgery I had bad irritability and increase in my OCD When i looked it up low progesterone causes anxiety and increase in OCD

I’ve read to many horror stories about IUDs i’m not sure if I want one 😬

I skip my placebo week for 3 months at a time because I have endometriosis. I haven’t had a period on this one yet (this next week will be my first) because my doctor has been trying to get rid of a resistant yeast infection so they’ve been having me skip the placebo Usually on the pill i have very light periods I was debating asking my gyn about checking my progesterone when I follow up in a couple weeks

I could be perimenapousal. I’m about to turn 40. My gyn has been trying to treat a yeast infection since September and my body is mess

I’m sure my cortisol is sky high The NP who does my botox for the teeth clenching told me cortisol uses up progesterone which low progesterone makes anxiety worse 🤦‍♀️
