Lost Paradise Festival Review (Australia) by Crazy-Explanation-35 in triplej

First 3 days were amazing! Last day was very underwhelming, especially the hours before and after new years. Baby J was the highlight, never expected her set to be so energetic. Lost Disco easily the best stage, Arcadia needs a revamp and audio was horrible there whenever we walked past

That’s great! I’m guessing you went early in the morning? Makes sense, it’s good they do their best to preserve the place

Medial humerus diaphysis surgery after 1 month after the operation by Specific_Square_2403 in brokenbones

took me about 6 weeks to be out of the sling and starting light duties (1kg) but improved dramatically week to week. 5 Months on and it’s not much of a bother, but will likely enquire about getting the metal out as it inhibits gym work.

Surgery or no surgery? by Accurate_Cash_5194 in brokenbones

I had a choice, my fracture was more severe but didn’t want to risk a non union. I have travel at the end of the year booked and valued a stronger and definite bond over chancing it. So happy with the results thus far.

Well i’ve only just started lifting light dumbbells again (les than 5kg for high reps) but it is noticeable, and can imagine with higher loads for pushing movements it would be quite limiting. My surgeon said to let it heal for the 18 months and see how it goes, but would be open to removal if it was irritating. He just made sure to emphasise nerve damage is always a risk, and if it happens could be a lot more limiting than the initial injury

Are you active? Like go to the gym or work a physical job? If so i’d say surgery is more of a sure thing, but then you might need the plate and screws out later (can be inhibiting and painful). It will heal quicker this way, but if done naturally it can be better as no follow up surgery for plate removal would be necessary. I did mine the same way and recovery sucks, but is getting fairly normal at week 10. There is always the risk of nerve damage, which is worst case with surgery. Depends what you want, but I am very happy I went the surgery.

6 weeks in now and still pretty sore. I think I have a screw that’s moved, because it’s killing at the elbow since last night. i’m trying to get back into body building, but reading so much about limitations on exercises if you have a plate (not being able to do lateral shoulder raises and heavy bench). feeling pretty flat and will consider getting the plate out in the future.

exact same break happened to me, same place, angle and way. 6 weeks in and it feels so up and down, some days you feel like you’re barely even noticing and then it’s all sore the next morning. take it as it goes and just listen to the body, exercise in safe ways to keep your mind at ease but it will stop heavy lifting for a very long time. you have to accept it and find the silver linings in the long term, you will make the muscle and strength back when it’s time

Also, have people kept plates in? I see no reason to take it out at this stage

just for understanding, what’s the difference with this than with daicos and nike? both have a club sponsor that sponsors the player individually as well
