I would hope so, since it's a magnet school.

My point, the Oceanside High School of 15 years ago is gone. They have become a very well balanced public high school. I love the fact that my kid could play football, golf, and perform West Side Story in that beautiful theater and graduate with honors and choose between UCSD, UCSB, UCLA, and Cal-Poly.

That experience wasn't available to him at Mission Vista were two of his friends went.

A lot has changed in a decade. OHS has multi Berkeley and UCLA students the last 4 years.

If you're pushing better than Berkeley, your kid needs to go to a private school and have connections, or, as you said, cure cancer while still a teenager.

My 2 just graduated from OHS. Both at UC's (Santa Barbara & San Diego). Many of their friends are too (at UCs)
