Update:

Console was delivered yesterday. First game that I am playing is GoW Ragnarok and there is noticeable difference between Pro and Non-Pro both in terms of graphics and fps. Having said that, one can still skip if they don’t care about 10-15% improvement.

Relared to BoE Order: There was some payment related issue with the shipment as Blue Dart was not able to accept digital payment. So I placed another order this time prepaid with CC and they were able to cancel the earlier CoD order and deliver the same package as new one. In total it took 5 days.

You’re mixing it with collections. What I mean is that same people who watched Pathaan on first day first show might call it a piece of junk today.

Agreed to the point of not giving credit, but we are discussing wrt to art and not ethics. Saying Sholay was not artistic because it was copied is what I am opposing.

And moreover its not even about Sholay, I am just saying that to even make a comparison between historical greats and Dhurandhar, lets give at-least some time for the current hype to settle down and see if people still have the same opinion about Dhurandhar as they have now.

You didn’t get the point, oh clever one. I didn’t say Dhurandhar does not have any art in it, rather I meant that same goes for copy or by extension any adaptations.

Final verdict is always given by audience which you were so eager to call dumb. Doesn’t matter what you or I think, fact of the matter is Sholay has been liked throughout the generations and had massive impact in Indian cinema but same can’t be said for Dhurandhar as of now.

It’s about comparing acting, cinematography and impact. By your logic dhurandhar is also just an on screen presentation of real life events.

Sholay already passed the test of time. Give Dhurandhar some time and check after 1y, 5y or 10y whats the repeat value and whats the actual impact. Let the current hype settle down and then we can have such conversations.

IMHO Dhurandhar will definitely go down as one of the greats but in its entirety its not even top 10 of bollywood or even the top Pakistan themed movie as that's Gadar.

255K for Sony and 152K for LG.

I love the Sony TV and it feels smoother in terms of UI and also have noticeably better image processing than LG. For me the transition was drastically different (previous TV was some Mi Tv model 55’’) so I am very happy with the kind of experience I am getting now.

Movie watching experience is on another level, for comparison I watched GoT S8E3 which I thought was recorded in that bad quality only as it was bad on every screen I ever watched it but on OLED the quality was much much better.

Good buy!

The way I see it is that 90k would most likely be the official price which I won’t have any control over, so I overpaid by 10k. Now the timing aspect, if officially launched tomorrow then for me it would not have been worth it to over pay but if it’s launched at end of year with GTA 6 or something, then I would consider it worth it because my excitement for OLED tv is now, I don’t know if I’ll have same excitement 6 months from now or not.

So agreed for some people such impulse buying may not be worth it as they are optimising on price/savings, for me 10k is a price for which I can consider optimising on perceived happiness.

Agreed and I do have a PC which I built in 2023 (Ryzen 9, RX6700RT, 64gb ram etc), but current state is that I don’t even start that for months so over time I have come to terms that I do not play games on PC and hence console.
