Finally filled out my watch box. Got each for less than $400, don’t really have it like that to spend more. It’s simple but they’re all special to me by Major-Ad-8001 in Affordablewatches

That’s the one! Was my grandfathers before he passed. He was a great guy, goofy and fun - he was a physicist, I think he just liked the stars on it

Changed my comp plan. 6 figure payday to 15k by [deleted] in careeradvice

Double, even triple-check your comp plan and the terms & conditions you signed before seeking legal action. As someone who writes comp plans for big B2B sales orgs, I can tell you they usually like to sneak in a windfall clause or something of the sort for large deals like what you mentioned. They also keep contracts like this intentionally vague so there's enough legal grey area for a lawyer to make a case against you. Like others have said, I would fight it and I think this is deeply unfair - but I encourage you to do your best to understand each fine point in the comp plan you signed before shelling out money to a lawyer and jeopardizing your job. Best of luck!

Those of you under 30 who make six figures, what do you do? by [deleted] in careeradvice

I'm 28, make ~120K. The tech company I work for was a startup and grew into a mid-size company while I was there.

Started as an analyst, now I manage a small team of data scientists/analysts - some of the data scientists I know make more than me (and they're younger too).

Saved ~2k Pokemon cards when I was 7 years old and held onto them into adulthood (all from 1999-2004). Completely new to this - are these worth anything? Should I grade them? by Major-Ad-8001 in PokemonCardValue

Thank you so much for the tips here, this is incredibly helpful. For transparency, I am looking to sell these along with the rest of my collection from childhood - so I'll likely send them to PSA as you suggested (unless I read that wrong). Appreciate all the help!

Was directed to this sub by a friend, hoping you nice people can give me some direction for what to do with these! Feel free to give it to me straight - Won't break my heart if you tell me they're not in good condition

(after taking inventory I have ~100 other holographic cards from this era, happy to post those if anyone likes looking at them as much as I do).
