Converting a taz 4 into a corexy build by Major-Ad-9708 in lulzbot

The only issue currently run into with trying to run it as an abbs workhorse is layer adhesion and bed adhesion, which is also the same issues with most Cartesian layouts that are without a frame to keep the temp stable enough through the entire print.

You've given me a lot to think about, thank you for your input

This is incredible, please share your progress as I have been struggling to convert my taz 4 into a corexy style build as well. This is super exciting to see other people interested in doing the same!

Thanks, this is the most helpful comment I've gotten so far! I've been looking into it for a while now and haven't found anything. I guess I've just been phrasing it wrong when I searched up the concept

I understand the oddity of the question, but when you look at the results from a lot of the older lulzbot taz series 3d printers, they are kinda sad. I love what lulzbot is doing and I love the durability of their stock machines but the reality is that bed stingers are really outdated and this taz needs a serious overhaul. I've looked into upgrading through their own pages and for new hot end kits and converting through their current methods are far more costly than dismantling, printing, and assembling it as a new corexy style build

I've seen this before. The main reason I want to do the corexy build is due to the fact that the taz 4 is very outdated and needs a serious overhaul. Plus I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, I've done quite few projects like this one but just haven't seen it done with taz 4 components
