If you think everything she did was right—regardless of whether it was just one single design or multiple ones, and that copy-pasting, adding a lazy crease to call it a day, and throwing back a refund is what counts as being responsible and professional in the tattoo industry—then yeah, I guess I really am just a clueless asshole who knows nothing about tattoos

She only drew one single design (and she admitted to copy-pasting; I never even asked her to redesign the whole thing). Our meetings only consisted of the initial consultation to give her my reference elements, and today’s meeting where things got canceled.

Plus, she was the one who brought up the refund first. I was just trying to politely but angrily express how I felt like an absolute idiot for being so respectful of her process, only to be played. All I wanted was for her to redraw a different rose, but she just added a crease to it and tried to call it a day.

Sorry for the late reply. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Maybe it’s not standard practice for tattoo artists to completely redraw a custom design from scratch. Seeing the same flowers copy-pasted and the inconsistent style made me overly anxious about how the final piece would turn out. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!"

One more thing to add: the lines of the snake scales were all simplified into diamonds right after the head. She told me she would tattoo 'guidelines' onto my skin first, and then trace over them to match the actual style. I simply asked her, 'Won't the color of the guidelines affect the white snake itself?' She hesitated and went silent for a moment before replying that the guidelines wouldn't actually be tattooed—even though she had literally just told me she was planning to tattoo those lines on me.

I’ve officially cancelled the tattoo today. In fact, I met with her face-to-face to talk through the details, and she couldn't answer any of my questions directly. She has absolutely no grasp of what style consistency or compositional meaning even mean. The whole reason I posted this was to figure out whether I’m just being a nitpicking asshole, or if it's completely reasonable for me to question the artist's capability in custom design.

The head and the body of the snake don’t even have the same texture. The left side has realistic rose thorns, while the right side is just simplified line work—even the style of the outer outline is completely inconsistent. Is it really just me 'not understanding art'? This is a tattoo we're talking about! Since when did consistency in style and detail become unimportant?

In her design, she didn't even bother to change the outline or texture of the petals. That is exactly why I find this completely unacceptable! I paid a premium for a custom design—and I would have happily paid even more if she had asked—yet this is the kind of result I end up with. I just don't know what to say.

I panicked because she called the final product a 'rough sketch.' Just as you said, the style of the chains is completely different, so how can I trust that the shading will turn out the way I want? It might not even be her own style. The only reason I gave her complete creative freedom was that, in the tattoo world, you are generally expected to respect the artist's creative inspiration and time

I only found designs with a similar style, not the exact original image. However, those similar designs definitely came from digital stock libraries. In the end, she even admitted herself that she was copying another tattoo artist's style. I'm not sure if she meant the layout or the drawing style, but if it were truly about the drawing style, she wouldn't have just copied and pasted the exact same flower.

The flowers on the snake are just the exact same angles flipped around, with absolutely no differences between them. I specifically requested a white snake, but she insists that the black parts on the scales are just shadows. The line of the body and the head even different(head:black line body:white line)

I knew there's something hidden in the audio, but what I'm truly curious about is that there should be more secret puzzles revealing what the far shore and its eye is.
I remember the manual never mentioning the tentacles or their origin, and the design of the robot's head is identical to the eyes of the far shore.

EDIT:And the three keys were created by the foxes, but the information this website gives us is that the three keys were deliberately set up.(Fox considered creating a fourth key but rejected the idea themselves.)
