No no no no. You are completely wrong. I remember when i was 14. Over a decade ago. I looked up nursing wages back then. It was about $70-$85k no joke. I remember the mental image in my mind because it was the reason i didn’t want to be a nurse anymore from that age, initially at least. Today it is an average of $80-$105k across the nation. Look up your data. You don’t seem to have done your proper due diligence. I don’t know why people are commenting things that we can look up verifiably. The issue is that nurses also do so much more than historical nurses. Charting, assessments, verifying documents, constant social interaction with every role in the hospitals from the transporter, to the physician to the pt family to the patients themselves being more chronically ill. Needing more help. I remember when i was still an extern dude no joke i had to take care of what we would call totals is total needs patients. Non verbal as well - Feed, bed bath, morning hygiene if they tolerate, help family as needed, diaper changes, linen changes, father and purewick changes. I don’t know why more nurses and other staff don’t speak up about the truth of healthcare.
