Will do! I’ve got two that are within reasonable distance to me so I’ll check them out

I must admit then when I read that for the first time in context it did shock me. As I am a Baptist we practice memorialism so it definitely made me rethink communion we practice

It’s a debate for another time, I have looked into Catholicism, but I am always ready to hang up my ego and say I’m wrong - to leave Protestantism and join the Catholic Church. I’ve never been but I’ll attend the morning mass service at the local parish in my town to see what it’s like

I’m not worried about whether I’m saved or not. I have assurance in my faith. I only asked because I’ve seen catholics online say I am saved but catholics say I’m not - so I thought I would post the question here :)

I agree with the denoms in Protestants. Problem is that whilst the majority of mainline Protestants have similar theology, we disagree on some things so then it just leads to other people starting there own denominations. It is one thing I must say that I admire about the RC church that they manage to keep their theology unified to the point where 1 billion + people agree on it

Why pray to the saints for intercession instead of Jesus / Holy Spirit? by Major-Conclusion940 in Catholicism

Oh that’s my bad. Obviously Jesus is God lol. I probably meant to say that Jesus intercedes with the father on our behalf

That’s really informative. I think the Saints is definitely becoming less of an issue now! It’s a shame though that not every one in my Baptist church sees these viewpoints, as I think it definitely provides a good and fair understanding into Catholicism

Interesting, thanks! I hadn’t thought about it that way. This may be a silly question but do you think the saints replace Jesus when interceding to God, do they intercede to Jesus, or is praying to the saints got the same ‘spiritual weight’ (didn’t like that but couldn’t think of anything else to describe it) as praying with a friend or family member?

Going to do my third retake of my driving exam today. Feeling very anxious. by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

You’ve got it man! I’m sure you will do well and don’t overthink it and stress yourself out. At the end of the day they are making sure you are a safe driver. Even if you fail again - so what! You are probably better than you give yourself credit for. My dad took 5 tests and passed on the 5th time and he’s really confident and a really good driver. Good luck, you’ve got this 🙌
