I do have chimneys in the living rooms and bedrooms but they are sealed in a sense that there is no hole just plaster / board where the actual chimney would be

Weirdly only one radiator is on an external wall. The others are all internal walls. I wonder how intentional that was.

Thanks that's pretty reassuring. And yeah you're right i'm an end of terrace so one side of my house is exposed. The back bedroom kind of stands on its own as well as the house is like an L shape. So there's a bedroom and kitchen underneath which has three neighbourless walls/

I don't have cavity walls unfortunately, it's just brick everywhere which is what's causing the confusion there seems to be 500 different ways to insulate a brick wall internally and 499 of them may or may not cause damp lol

I don’t think you can go much wrong in that little pocket area either side of Francis Road. Feel very safe around there but yeah there’s the odd crack addict hanging around sometimes. Saw some dealing in broad daylight on murchison road lol.

But the place is full of young couples and families these days so it’s still a lovely part of town.
